The Pittsburgh Steelers are making the necessary moves to get under the salary cap for the 2012 season, and it starts in the linebacker corps.

LaMarr Woodley and Lawrence Timmons have restructured their contracts to help the team make a dent in the estimated $25 million they need to cut to get under the salary cap for 2012. According to a report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Woodley's take-home pay will not drop, but the $5.5 million roster bonus that he was supposed to receive in March will be paid as a signing bonus, along with $2.7 million of his $3.4 million salary from last season. New cap numbers for Timmons have not been made available.
