Heard from a opps manager yesterday at our facility your people were walking the dock of our facility we just moved out of...

The hours are just a generalization. You would start in the system, so you would be subject to work at anytime.

If we bought the terminal, bet we don't do it like R&L did the GVL terminal that was an old Dugan terminal. Complete remodel, repave, and add on.

Drivers working the system are drivers who do not have the senority to claim a bid run when their home terminal rebids their pool of runs or sometimes a senior driver just wants to run the system. Working the system means that Central Dispatch can run you on completion of your 10 hour rest period or they can run you later than that. They can run you here today and over there tomorrow. Usually, a system driver can count on being laid down at foreign terminals so you would need to pack a bag. However, our system guys usually don't stay out a full 5 day week and they are always brought back for the weekend.

Keep a good relationship with the dispatchers and you can write your own paycheck running the system

The Tm Jeff is a great guy to work for. We begged him to come back home whenever he could. Keen sense of humor but when it comes to getting a job done, he's one of the best in the biz. Think you'll like him. Don't know of too many that don't.
