Traffic cam caught a trucker driving into a bridge support in Kansas.

Once again somebody is trying to get the government involved in the trucking industry. A few years back one of the company trucks was hit in the fuel tank by a drunk driver in upstate NY. The fuel spill caused a small fish kill in a stream. The company paid a huge fine. The drunk had no insurance. The upper echelon in the company wanted us in the shop to build a steel protector around the fuel tank to see if it was feasible to equip at least part of the fleet with protection from drunks. As I remember we fabricated & installed a few of these.

Carbon Fiber Tank Guards or simply Tanks wrapped in Carbon Fiber.
A wee bit costly yet cheaper than completely engineered Carbon Fiber Tanks and "*theoretically* Leak Proof".
*Conditions apply. Not all tanks become leak proof. Depends upon IMPACT: Type, Angle, Speed. See the Manufacturer or your local Parts Shop for more pertinent information, warnings, insurance, etc.*
