Truckloads for Truckers

I need some help here. I have a mailing company in northwest suburbs of Chicago. We ship about two truckloads of material to Kentucky just outside of Cincinnati. How or where would I post these truckloads so I can book them without having to use a broker? We used a broker in the past which in turn did not pay the truckers so we were legally forced to pay for five loads twice. I want to be done with the brokers so this never happens again. I thought a trucking board was what they were called but this is just a forum.

Brokers are supposed to be licensed, insured, and bonded. Was the dirtbag brokerage that stiffed you licensed, insured and bonded?
