BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — U.S. Steel Corp. will restart construction on an idled manufacturing facility in Alabama, and it gave some of the credit to President Donald Trump’s trade policies in an announcement Monday.

Trump’s “strong trade actions” are partly responsible for the resumption of work on an advanced plant near Birmingham, the Pittsburgh-based company said in a statement. The administration’s tariffs have raised prices on imported steel and aluminum.

I thought republicans were the free market party? I'm glad they now embrace trade restrictions that unions have been calling for for years.

It’s a shame Obama didn’t embrace trade restrictions...”Manufacturing jobs will never return”...he said...500,000 new manufacturing jobs added since he left office...

Democrats have been selling out the working class since late 70s. Carter signed deregulation, Clinton signed NAFTA, Obama was trying to sell us out with that pacific trade agreement. And last but not least, Obama signed the Omnibus of 2014 that screwed all of our pension plans. And republicans are anti worker? Get a brain and use it.

At his rally in El Paso Trump was talking job creation during his administration and he said
‘I guess we found that magic wand they said we would need to bring jobs back”. :biglaugh:

Keep telling yourself that Republicans care how about working people and not rich people. I will laugh all the way to the ballot-box Box

Youre only fooling yourself if you dont think the dems have significant positions in industries that will be the backbone of the green new deal. You know.......entities like Elon Musks outfit, that wouldnt even be remotely viable without taxpayer subsidies........

Human nature for self-preservation, greed and personal success/power cant even be bred out of true socialists, it's been proven untold times over the span of human existence....

It is a way for those that lack the innovation, dedication and vision to get filthy rich. Get in on the ground floor of industries, then use the coercion of an overbearing government to force the masses to utilize said companies product.....

Just for :shit: and giggles, what is your definition of rich???I agree with your assumption,to a point.I am not for redistribution of wealth and changing the electorate through open borders, which seems to be the Dimms policy.

One thing about class envy it makes you miserable not the person who has more stuff. I just don’t understand it. I’m about as middle class as it gets and sometimes I sit back and look at my life and feel I don’t deserve this. That probably means you do deserve it.
