Few doctors could exist on cash paying customers, The family Doctor yes but when you get into specialist who recommend procedures who could afford it?
MIght be rough time for them now until things get straightened out.
I think Medical schools should be free and a housing and food allowance too.No borroing & going into debt.

Most Dr. have a person whose only job is to file insurance claim's and make sure they get paid.(very important person!) Then someone who does medical transcriptions.
Look at all the BS the trucking business goes through. Being a owner operator these days means you have to keep up with all of it.

It's broke because the wealth is being handed early to you, and you won't be humble.

The system was set up to collect until age 65, hoping you die by 63. Its a ponzi scheme. I pay, you take. The least you could do is say Thank You...

I would like to know wth free means, when it comes to government promises..It,s rhetorical,I already know, the one,s shouting free, are the takers...The ones screaming nothing is free are the givers..

OK, so you are saying that BammerCare reduced Medicare/MedicAid payments? And added additional paperwork to their process?

Yes, there are very few things in this world that are free but there are a few. Air, sunshine and water are pretty much free all else costs someone and if 'free' means on someone elses dime it would be nice to know who's.

Tricky, that. The feds tricked the states. Said feds pay first few years so many took the bait. Then they get stuck later, which is always the next generation's problem.

The States knew what the deal was and it's a good deal 100% for the first few years then after that the feds pay 90% forever.
Thats more than the usual medicaid deal which is 50% of spending.
For every dollar the state spends Medicaid sends them 50 cents so the cost is split evenly but for the ACA expansion the Feds send the states 90 cents for every dollar they spend so they spend only 10 cents on the dollar after the first two years when it's free of cost to the states.
Only Republicans trying to make Obama look bad refused that money, and said screw the poor people

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association released a widely publicized report last month that said new enrollees under ObamaCare had 22 percent higher medical costs than people who received coverage from employers.
And a report from McKinsey & Company found that in the individual market, which includes the ObamaCare marketplaces, insurers lost money in 41 states in 2014, and were only profitable in 9 states.

Obama said he was going to insure 30 million more people and have insurance rates drop $2400 for the average family. Was anyone in America foolish enough to believe him?

The border has nothing to do with providing a National single payer system.....other than it serves as a distraction and a very poor excuse....

We mostly agree on this point......with the exception that I see this issue as just one more reason that a National Single payer system would largely end ER abuse.....

Yes.... I said in my comments that there are Doctors that won't take Insurance because of the hassel.......Notice that this is the fault of who?......Yes....the Insurance Companies...... The ACA has nothing to do with that.....IF you want that sort of abuse stopped it would require being more closely regulated by the Government..... Yes those regulations that you hate so much......

I really don't know what you mean when you say "some Doctors won't take Barrycare"......... The ACA isn't "Barrycare".....It isn't "Insurance" that a Doctor can just say no to...... The ACA simply requires that everyone has to have some sort of healthcare Insurance......It doesn't provide actual medical care to anyone, nor does it actually directly pay for anyone's healthcare.....It does, however, provide healthcare premium assistance in the form of subsidies to those enrolled........ Doctors don't ask you if your Insurance was purchased through the ACA Healthcare Exchanges or was provided by your employer.....

A National single payer system would not have any impact on a patients ability to sue a medical provider..... A Single payer system is just what it says...... "Single Payer"...meaning that the Government is the single payer to the people that are providing the medical care as opposed to dozens or more, Insurance companies........nothing more...nothing less.... The Government is NOT actually providing the care....they are just providing the payment....

Exactly why we need to have a National Single payer system.......... Thanks for making my point....

Two Doctors retired rather that "take it"? Take what? .... The ACA or Obamacare or whatever you chose to call it, IS NOT INSURANCE that a Doctor can either accept or reject....... The Statement is still inaccurate...

Just another reason why we need a National single payer system......

Why? ... Perhaps that could be due in part to new enrollment's having previously been denied coverage due to a pre-exsisting condition that has become worse and more expensive over time..........

Well those poor insurance companies......maybe they should start scaling back the pay they give their CEO's....... for example Stephen Hemsley of United healthcare.... 66 million...which is a "bargain" compared to what he received about 5 years back when it was 102 million.......

If they are so bad off.....they need to start trimming the fat at the top then.....

I'm sure they appreciate your concern for their profits though......
