Like where?... Give it all, and then some, to some profit hungry Insurance Company?..... I'm sure that will be much better than Medicare at that age.......Go for it......

Do you feel the same way about your tax dollars being used for Roads???.....for the Nationwide Air Transportation system ??? For Police and Fire Departments??.....and so and so forth??.. IF not, what do you have against your tax dollars providing much needed health care to seniors..??? It will be there for you when you need it as well...... as long as those that you "vote" for don't take it away from you.......

If you have a problem with Government providing any service beyond a Military, I think you should look into relocating to another Country that isn't so ...so....What's the word?.....oh yes.."Socialist"......

    You do have choices.......

Non participation can be considered the same as not accepting

Could you expound on that further?..... I don't see any correlation between Single payer and "mass execution" of older Americans......

Medicare is an example of a Single payer system for older Americans, and since its inception, it has not resulted in any "mass execution" of older Americans.....in fact, it's been quite the opposite...It has provided a very good level of medical care to Seniors that would otherwise not had been available to them...

Heres a quote from the article.. "Obamacare puts physicians — especially the dwindling number of those in private practice — in an especially difficult financial situation"

Ohhhh those poor Physicians..... yet no one is worried or cares in the least about the working men and women who worked very hard and long hours for 30 plus years and who are now going to get a 50 to 60 percent cut in their pensions...... If we have to accept steep cuts supposedly for the "good of everyone"....then so should Doctors..... Who are not in the least struggling financially......

IF a Doctor is turning away patients based on where they were required by law to buy insurance that should NOT be allowed and those Greedy Doctors that would do that are sickening.. and are a disgrace to the profession.....

Once again......This only shows that eliminating the Health Insurance Companies and going to a single payer System is only logical at this point....

All the whining and complaining about the Insurance Companies and the Doctors and on and on.....show that national Single payer is the best solution to those problems and complaints.....

    Arent all pension guaranteed?
no one supports people losing their pensions
I glad that you think all doctors do is zip through the office in the morning then off to the country club for lunch then a round or two before heading home to the mansion
this is an argument of jealousy and nothing more
Doctor provide a service that people want. They have a special skill set
People want the care, but don't really want to pay for it. Because it is skilled it is expensive (unlike the $15 an hour burger flipper)

Yes, lets go along the lines of Cuba or England
Great for nothing major, anything major, please have you estate in order
That was why people came here for treatment
Furthermore, if we do get single payer, will our "beloved"policital class exempt?
Will Chelseas bundle of cells be born at NYC General or some private clinic in the Hamptons? (perfectly aware that her sack of cells is due before the left can finish destroying our healthcare system)

I can't imagine say a orthopedic surgeon refusing to accept insurance case.
Like how many people out there can afford to get a new knee paying cash?
No body likes change, but you have to go along to get along

I learned you have to be a squeaky wheel in these situations. Have to keep asking what else can be done then lets try it.
I know the HMO's were like that maybe still are. I got on a PPO and can go to see any Doctor I want, I don't need a referral.
Thats not to say the insurance company would approve all recommended procedures, they may not.
But it sure beats having to pay out cash for everything, which in my case and many others we would just have to pass on it.

Does everyone buy a house for cash?

Ten years ago, my wife needed a 30,000 dollar operation. Insurance denied it, twice. We remortgaged the house and paid it.

Or, you can do what my Mother in law does. No cartilage left. Gimmace, inhale, and bear it.

They (Pensions) are not guaranteed any more.......and yes there are many that support people losing their pensions.....like the ones who put into the "must pass" spending bill to make sure it got passed into law..... Not much in the media is mentioned about Union members losing more than half their pensions........

That's all you got out of my post?..... Where did I say that in my post??..... Most people know that Doctors make a lot of money.....No one, including me, say they shouldn't make a decent amount of money.......but if medical costs and Health insurance costs are so high and a lower payout to Doctors is an attempt to lower costs and that results in a bunch of highly paid Doctors crying when that lower payout isn't anywhere close to the percentage that Teamster Pensioners are facing.......I'm just making the comparison to regular working class people who make a whole lot less who are getting their pensions cut by more than half.. It's heart warming that you are so concerned about the money that the Medical Profession makes while you don't seem to be as concerned about the Working people getting their pay slashed......

Really?... Is that all you can say?..... I thought you were more intelligent than that.... Whenever anyone makes a point about someone, or some group of people being over paid or mention anything about greed in society....people like you defend the wealthy by calling anyone who dares to speak against concentrating wealth to fewer and fewer people you have to resort to the only thing you got and that's to call them "Jealous"....
I'm sure the wealthy appreciate your loyalty and concern for their well being.....

They provide a service that people NEED.....Most people don't want to go to a Doctor......yes they have a special skill....

Your right, People don't want to pay for it...that's why they have Insurance, if they can afford it..... Increasingly Insurance doesn't want to pay either....the Charges are to high.... Individuals can't afford to pay for expensive care and now they are finding it hard to even afford the Insurance....You have the Medical System charging high prices and the Insurance Industry charging ever high prices.....while the rest of us are caught in the middle....and people like you defend the broken system and resist any attempt to level the field so that the citizens can get the care they need....

It is reasonable to expect it will be more expensive.....but costs have gotten completely out of control......Trying to compare medical costs to a fast food service worker is absurd........ (although when people want a fast food burger they expect someone to make it for them)

Why is it that you can't understand that we don't have to have the exact same system they have??.. Why can't you understand that we can create our own system that would better serve the needs of our society?....

Our "beloved Political class" already has single payer......Your tax dollars already fund their healthcare..... You see, "Socialized Medicine" is good for them but they have conditioned you to believe that it's "Bad" for you and I.....

Your statement shows you don't understand what "Single payer" really is........

I don't know if you have any children Bubba74, but would you consider your unborn children as nothing more than a "bundle of cells"..or "sack of cells"?....... Referencing an unborn child as such is disgusting........ I thought you would be above such remarks.......I guess it shows what irrational hatred can do to people....... (Chelsea Clinton was never a Politician and never done anything that impacted your life)

The Healthcare system was "destroyed" by the unbridled greed of the Medical industry and the Healthcare Insurance Industry.......They did it to themselves and that has caused to Government to step in with a "Solution"..... The ACA isn't near the solution we actually need...we both agree on that...... A National single payer System is what we need.....One created on what's best for our society, rather than the Insurance Companies and the Medical System.....And not a "one size fits all" system copied from somewhere else.......
