hey nobody mgt just doesn't get it every time they write somebody up or god forbid fire someone it's good for more cards that's what is so funny they are speeding this whole thing up. LMAO!

We already said that if we pull this off we're going to give them a star card for the commitment they showed in helping the cause.

With CSA 2010 implemented, every DSR needs to realize that every preventable and non-preventable accident, along with LOI's, go into your lifetime personal CSA2010 file that follows you to every employer. So all of these so called "Conway Laws" are eventually going to kill your CDL career and classify you unfit for another employer. Scratching a trailer, horn blast when backing up, hazards in the yard, lock on empty trailers ect...ect.. This company is taking our job security from every truck line. Right now, we are our worst enemies if we all dont step up and unite as one.

I did plan as best as I could considering what Conway said they would compensate me in exchange for me to come work here, a long time ago. I'll work an additional 11 years and I will survive on $28,000 less per year.
 
there is no one right answer here, so be careful what WE wish for. if unionized jobs will be lost the moment it happens our benefits dept will no longer be needed as "central states" will be paid $497 per dsr per week for health and wellfair this is on top of his weekly pay check. how about these people where will they get a job then, should we consider that? what about 10 or 15 years down the road and con-way pulls off another pull out like with consolidated. whos gonna hire us then estes,aaa,saia,avert, fed ex dont think so they wont give an application to any past union member. im sure i will get some feed back here and thats what im looking for so i will be able to make a informed decision when and if the time comes. thanks and be safe
 
With CSA,nafta and just the way trucking companies are run in general it's my opinion that anyone who is able to get away from trucking should do so.

Honestly, we all can "what if" all day. Could people lose their jobs? Sure. Tough decisions will have to be made on both sides should this come to pass. Guess it depends on your personal preference. Are you happy with the way things are now? We have no way of knowing if or when we will receive anything. I for one am tired of being taken for granted and I believe getting representation is the best solution for our future. My wife understands and supports my decision to support this. I have heard from the anti union guys at work that if nothing else we definitely got their attention and hopefully they will wake up and make the changes necessary to make it up to us. But "what if" this fails and they decide that after everything they have done to us that we still lacked the balls to organize. What do you think they will do then?

i'm all for organizing. don't want to be here for 15 years thinking i'm going to retire here and have a bad year and be escorted out the door. (seen it done at conway) we need job securty, someone haves to have our back. if they want you gone, your gone !!!

The good folks Con-Way are either going to elect to organize or not...bottom line.

The company has demonstrated in its recent past to blatantly disregard the professional and personal security of the drivers employed therein.

Blatantly....

Now they want to do something..."backpeddle" if you will to recuperate the respect long gone...from those folks they made promises in 'times' more civilized...

Too little...too late...

Whatever diatribe the company oozes in the near future be guaranteed this..it is bereft of sincerity...

Smoke and mirrors...the tiger can't change its stripes.

When...and only when...the CEO is replaced will there be any hope of change.

Con-Way's mindset is one of..."there are thousands of peeps just waiting for your job"...

There aren't...they just want you to believe the lie...

Its what they are good at...sleight of hand...misdirection.

The drivers at Con-Way need to be organized...and soon...Dougie is out for Dougie and the BOD...if you believe anything else you are deceived...

come on... get it right. It's now CSA and do your research. The company has no control over what hits your personal record with the government.

busy week. As part of the silent majority I went to work daily, did my best, helped others find their best, and offered my opinion on local and company issues when asked. I offered respect and received the same.

wow a bottom feeder happy to have a job.....we can all look ourselves in the mirror and say we are tired of being pushed around you are crazy if you think this ends even if we don't go union because they will realize because of guys like you with no backbone that now they can really take from us now that this is full blown through out the system.........wait until oct. when your insurance go's up again........you just keep looking out for #1 and you will be out of a job.
