"UPS Inc. (NYSE:UPS) said today it will temporarily suspend the operations of its less-than-truckload unit, UPS Freight, at least until Teamsters union members vote for a second time on a collective bargaining agreement, and it has advised customers in the meantime to seek alternate sources of capacity."

We have never made 6 billion in profits. We haven't even made that in revenue. I put UPS freight at 190 million a year with the 7.4% profit margin we have.

You should have a gander at last quarter NET INCOME one quarter was in the area of 245 million that would be 3 months in the area of 1 billion yearly

It is not realistic to gauge a company on their gross profits.
When I worked as a union LTL driver,it was said if a union trucking company made a penny on a dollar.
They were doing good after operating costs.

I don’t believe that we can eliminate contractors all together either. But there is certainly enough money in the pot to make things better for the employees that make this ship run.
