42000 jobs for at least two years to get it built.
Who knows what might happen in two years, maybe the economy will actually improve and there will be more jobs out there of this nature.

No, instead, lets keep people out of work and continue to grow dependency on the govt.

I posted the link to which you might not have read on the other thread where we discussed the KXL.
The pipeline is already half built. The jobs prediction now would be half the amount you list for maybe another 2 years.
There is already over 300,000 miles of gas/oil transmission pipelines in the US. We need more ?
But, the remainder of the KXL will be built at some point.
They will just take the land from the owners, either by eminent domain or by paying below real value for that land.
Then there will be leaks to deal with. Mainly due to the fact the republicans refused to mandate US made steel pipe.
That chinese crap is cheaper, and it's all about the bottom line. Profits, you know.
And in the end, we will have those very important 50 full time jobs.
And the related pollution from refining that heavy tar sands crude.
It's OK though, it's all about those jobs ... and big oil's profits.

So finish it, make everyone happy except for Warren Buffet and the Green Energy nuts.

This is direct from Canada and picks up tar sands oil in Montana and N. Dakota. There is benefit here.

No, they don t do that for stuff like this, only when rich political backers want to build apartments or condos

    http://www.cbsnews.com/news/eminent-domain-being-abused/

There are still steel manufactures in the USA?
I thought the Greenies put them all out of business because of pollution
Maybe Steel Dynamics could produce the pipe, what wasn't that a company the Bain Capital helped, why yes it was

To quote Northern "50 more jobs than Barry created"

it is "Big Oils" investment, their risk, their capital, they should profit.
Sorry the unicorns don't produce energy

You talk in one big circle. Tell those who are unemployed or underemployed that two years of making big bucks isn't worth the investment. Your ideology trumps common sense.

I already admitted it will be finished.
    It's all political games now.
Benefit to who besides the pipeline owners and big oil ?
    Really ?
Even TransCanada has admitted that it HAS used eminent domain.
    http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesco...ries-to-seize-u-s-land-for-keystone-pipeline/
I don't care who owns the US made pipe company. It does two things, they provide jobs for the US citizens and they produce a higher quality pipe.
You want full time jobs ... right ? Why not US made pipe ?
Because the chinese crap is cheaper, more profits for the corporations ... and more leaks later.
OK, I'll agree ... 50 more jobs then ANY President ever created.
    They will profit.
So in that context, they can use chinese pipe, why not let them use chinese labor ?
    More profits ... right ?

Your circle of talk never leads anywhere.
First, no entitlements, get a job. Then you complain the people are "under employed", but then you say the wages are a product of supply and demand.
Provide some proof that the pipeline will benefit the common citizen and I will say your right.
Besides, isn't this all a moot point.
I already admitted the pipeline will be finished ... and it will leak.

Do those in suit and ties build the pipeline? No. The American workers build it, and load their pockets in the mean time.....all while buying "stuff" that stimulates other sectors of the economy.
Or are you so political that you believe as Plastic Face claimed....."unemployment stimulates the economy"?

First, citizens will build it. Second, when we have a free flow of oil in our own system, the towel heads can't control the prices the way that they currently do. Which affects our price at the pump.
Prove that it will leak. When it starts to deteriorate, lay a new one right beside it, and tear out the old one.

And no, it won't be finished until the Muslim has ridden off into the luxurious sunset.

How did those Bush tax cuts work out.
That 136 billion hand out to those poor corporations. No mention about that lost money ?
This wasn't millions ... it was BILLIONS !

In the end, the only benefit is to big oil.

We already have more oil in this country then in the last 80 years.
The price at the pump is a direct correlation between the commodity traders and Wall street.
Prove it will leak ? Your kidding right ... ?
    Here is one state alone.
    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/25/north-dakota-oil-spill/3189101/
Does denial on your part mean it never happened ?
OK, whatever you say. I didn't know they had foreign muslim labor building the pipeline. I thought you said it would provide full time jobs ?

So you clearly don't care about the American citizens making big bucks, cheaper gas, and very little risk of spillage. You are blinded by your ideology. But let's give more people an incentive to sit on their ass all day instead. That should boost the economy.

We have cheaper gas now. It's not a product of the pipelines, it's a direct product of conservation and an already glutted oil market.
Very little risk of spillage ?
You really are blind to the facts that pipelines break and spill which damage the environment.
Here is a list from 2000 on, which is very long with over 350 spills listed.
The last one recorded was Jan. 26, in West Virginia.
"very little risk of spillage" ... that was a comical statement.
