TForce | Victory for all Overnite workers and Teamsters!

Yeah you're right, the IBT wasn't supposed to harass anyone till Indy has a contract. Sounds like someone's getting nervous at the IBT's main office.

It's pretty pathetic that anyone would want a subpar union. If the APWA was a real player and stood for anything substainial, then UPS would have come to an agreement with them to sit down to talk. It's sad that the APWA leaches off the back of the IBT to obtain there membership. That should make you think about what you may be getting into. There is strength in membership. And the APWA doesn't have any!!
hugnlug, You say this about the APWA, don't you think they would have to get a 51% vote from a terminal before they could sit down and negotiate with UPS? (not trying to be smart, just asking)

First of all, the card check wasn't implemented until an agreement between UPS and the IBT. After it was agreed upon under the "fair play" excercise, the card check was initiated. Which by the way was a success by more than 90%. I don't recall hearing or seeing anything about the APWA before this. If they were aggressive about getting our vote, don't you think they would have contacted UPS before the IBT?
