Vitran Express Inc., apparently did not take its FCRA disclosure obligations seriously and, as a result, just settled a class action lawsuit with about 3,000 job applicants (from April 2004 through March 2009) for $2.6 million. The named plaintiff sued Vitran after the company ordered a background check on him without providing any FCRA-required notices.

we need to get a class action suit for all of the unpaid waiting for loads.....

we really need to focus on getting an d.o.t. investigation terminal wide to get these trucks fixed properly. vitran will have to fix these problems in order to operate.

Vitran Express Is being sued in Federal Court Northern District of Ohio for age discrimination. Trial is set for next week 9/19/11

hell, at my barn they hired a 70 year old woman to work the dock. after about 3 weeks
she quit with no notice and believe it or not, 2 weeks later the SCM hired her back and
she lasted 2 more weeks. She could drive a hilo but knew NOTHING about loading freight.It seems like he was setting the OB operation up for failure or he was just a dumb ass.
Methinks a little of both. That guy is a clown.
