But they will be the first ones complaing and bad mouthing the company, then when it comes time to make a change for the better the ones that were running their mouth and complaining CAN'T BE FOUND!!
At least you tried but please don't give up. Of course you know the history of Vitran, every terminal that went union or has tried has been shut down which brings fear among co-workers. The only way its going to work is to have Toledo & Detriot to do the same which would require a lot of dedication. In Rockford, IL they made the final vote and came up a few short because Vitran buttered up a few employees, from what I heard. Which was just a move that Vitran did to stall for time so that they could hire more drivers in the surrounding terminals ( Chicago, Markham, Milwaukee and Rock Island, IL), and as you know they shut down RFD anyway even though they didn't go union just as a precaution. Its kind of bad to have a terminal within a 150 mile radius of you when you're trying to go union. Maybe someday we will all be on the same page at the same time, I appreciate you trying. THANK YOU La8Fr8.
I am organizing out in Pennsylvania. Visit Welcome To The Vitran Employees Website , we need to work on pulling together. It will take some time, but it can be done.
