ABF | Vote Yes

Good one

There are some real garbage humans on this site. Some of you guys (you southern yeehaw I'm lucky just to have a job bumpkins in particular) need to shut up and listen once in a while. Your beliefs have gotten you one job where the pay and benefits became too great, AND YOU'RE TRYING TO MAKE YOUR NEW JOB THE SAME. Good logic, boyos. Do your wives look at you beaming with pride every morning, salute, and cry out, "Oh captain, my captain!"?

Let me guess, your up to your eyeballs in debt, your driving record is blemished in some way or your to comfortable with your bid & vacation time? So what one is it? Take the time to read the majority of the threads on this board & then see who is naive....
kind of like old Turncoat and his new doublewide with granite counter tops, his tricked out pickup truck (no doubt with spinners) and his new bass boat...by the way, I know that Turncoat will vote yes, but he hasn't posted very much since "the gang" came back? You know that down in Mayberry and his 3 driver terminal will vote yes..
So, Turncoat, will you go back to YRC for one more year if this is voted down? Or will you go to UPS Freight? After all, there is a driver shortage and most trucking companies are rewarding their drivers to keep good employees...(Hear that, Judy?)

Hahaha so true.

I just received this!!! Please read and pass it on!!!!! Again a NO VOTE IS A STRIKE VOTE!!!!!!

Good luck my Brothers & Sisters
Just reinforces my no vote! Our union wants to threaten us, that just makes me know I’m doing the right thing. They know it’s a crap contract. If it was a real contract we would have started in October. UPS has been in negotiations sense December and their contract isn’t even up until July. If this was a real offer they would have given us the contract details as soon as they agreed. But the union had to try to sell this crap to us. If you can’t see that your blind. Good luck selling your union brothers and sisters out.

Yes... please do pass this letter on... then we shall find out just how many ABF Teamsters cave in to threats!!! I myself don't take kindly to threats... just like any man that even had an ounce of self-respect.

Thanks for letting everyone know just what kind of man you are mad trucker!

They're too embarrassed to go out. The key board has grown attached to their fingers.
wow...Turncoat, where ya been...I think the keyboard is attached to your fingers as well (probably the middle one). Glad to see "the gang' has put your in your place...."Everybody hears to talking, but no one is listening"...except to know how mentally challenged you are

Tell me... will I have to begin following you around with this letter seeing how you're plastering yours all over the place? Again... Vote Yes if you're the kind to let others intimidate you and caves into threats!!!

If you do decide to vote yes... I would at least hope it would be because you... yourself came to that decision and nobody else. Vote yes or vote no... but just voting yes because you are afraid it could have a chance to leading to a strike is cowardly.

I actually have a life away from ABF and TB. Your "gang" doesn't frighten me. A strike doesn't frighten me, in fact, it's probably the best possible time for ABF to lock the gates for a month or so. It may be necessary to get the message across that this is the "best and final offer" as your buddy Spin Docker likes to put it. Meanwhile, Upack is selling moves to OD and Estes and the supervisors are getting the bugs out of the new "piece level barcoding system" cleaning off the docks with PT. You do realize they can't hold shipper's freight hostage, and they will get the police to escort them shiny wheels across the picket line and then back out of town. I'm sure Docker and Muler can explain that to you, since no one is listening to me. We may be on strike May 11th, but don't worry, my old paid for 98 Dodge 4x4 and my little 14' Jon boat with that 15 hp Mariner, we'll be heading to the river. I'll be frying fish on the patio of my little paid for brick home. The wife will pick up the fixings from the grocery store in her nice paid for car. I've lived conservatively these 31 yrs. I have had a Teamster job, so I'm doing just fine. Don't need a bunch of expensive toys. I'm real happy with a wife and grown kids and grandkids that love and respect me.....but, if it makes you feel better.....I cried myself to sleep last night cause' your gang don't like me....I am totally crushed!

You sure like flapping those gums but when it comes to answering a few questions you clam up like an oyster! I'm sure you understand that terminology seeing just what an avid fisherman you are. So... how about stopping with all the BS already trying to convince others and even yourself of how Muler and I don't frighten you because no one really cares one way or another... but one thing that some members... including myself would be interested in hearing is your answers to these simple questions...

Docker I wasn't at ABF until July 2011, the concessionary contract did go through in 2013 because a majority realized we were paying a portion of the H&W and pension increases with our lost vacation and wage reduction. The Southern Supplement increased $1/hr. each of the 5 yrs. for a total of $5/hr. since 2012. Now, ABF is giving the vacation back, keeping our healthcare the same, giving a token raise and a little bonus, but freezing the pension contribution rates. Those funds that do expel ABF, (and that's doubtful) the member gets $6/hr. in his/her 401K, probably about $12K a year, that's going with him/her if they decide to leave ABF. A bi-partisan committee is now tasked to come up with a solution to this pension crisis, which will mean a haircut for all of us. Be thankful if you have been fortunate enough to receive a full pension for a while. Now as for Ernie looking out for us, he has given the option to STRIKE if the MAJORITY of us find the proposal unacceptable. Now, so far, I've not personally been able to find anyone that wants to vote it down. A few locals with less than a thousand members are pushing a No vote to help the political aspirations of Fred Zuckerman. The vote is going to be electronic, with qualified casuals getting in on the action. This deal most likely is going through with a high participation rate and probably about 75% approval. Every driver I know has a smart phone to vote with in his/her hand. You think Ernie is trying to frighten people? Hell, he's just giving them what they asked for....want a damn STRIKE...vote er' down! Now ABF is not going to pay anymore than they are already paying into broke pension funds....it AIN'T gonna happen....and no Federal arbitrator is going to require them to...or he will have to call YRC into account. I can assure you that ABF can be idled for a while until an arbitrator settles the deal....for what is now on the table...or less! It makes no damn difference how they have now become a logistics company that can keep the lights on independently of ABF, but, Brother Ernie knows that. Rest assured, a STRIKE will do wonders for your pension I'm sure.

Let me ask one question is Judy and her family entitled to more than you and your family? The company is doing so badly according to ArcBest right. Well here are a few facts for all you yes voters. Vote what is best for you and your family. I would not be in such a hurry to take food off of my family table without doing my own research. All of this is out on the web go and look for yourself, check the SEC filings for yourself

Judy McReynolds, chairman, president and CEO of Fort Smith-based ArcBest Corp., didn’t receive a salary increase in 2017, but her total compensation rose 31.9% to $2.126 million.

In 2017, total compensation for the company’s median employee was $95,518, with McReynolds earning 22.3 times more than that employee, the proxy shows.

https://talkbusiness.net/2018/03/ar...y-unchanged-in-2017-total-compensation-up-31/

If you guys check not just Judy got a raise last year. Every executive of the company got a raise. Where do you guys think that money came from? So the only people in this equation that deserve a raise are ArcBest management is what you are saying. I for one know that it is us Teamsters doing the hard work on the dock in the yard and on the street. One more question why are you willing to sell yourself short and do this for pennies on the dollar. Highest paying job my ass we are rank number seven in pay and will fall further behind if this contract passes. This is not their best and last offer. ArcBest wants no part of a strike just like we don’t but sometimes you must take a stand for your future. Last question if you don’t who will?

Isn't it funny that the vote is going to be counted on the 10 of May the same day first quarter earning are to be released? Do you know what is going to happen to the stock if they show a big profit and this :shit:ty contract is passed. Add that to the 26 million in tax savings and the only people taking it on the chin will be us. It sure seems as if it is all coming up ArcBest!!!

Just how ignorant are you??? Tell me that you just didn't say that the Southern Supplement increased H&W and pension increases $1/hr. each of the 5 yrs. for a total of $5/hr. since 2012. All I can say is it's a damn shame ignorant asses like you are allowed to vote!!! Yes... the health contributions increased slightly over the past 5 years but there have been no pension contribution increases to the CSPF for over 7 years. Tell me... do you actually know what "up to" means or do I have to actually explain that to you? I'll tell you what... I'll pay you up to $100 an hour if you come to work for me... but don't come crying to me when you get your first check and you see that you only got $1.20 an hour because I sure filled my obligation... up to $100 an hour... that's $0 up to $100. And since I found you to only be worth $1.20 an hour... that's what you got. That "up to" just went to "up yours"!!!

Tell me... just where in the hell do you get your information... from Ernie or those gobblers that you keep talking about because one's just about as reliable as the other. I'm so sick and tired of you sleazy yes voters coming on here with your asinine reasoning for wanting to accept this BS proposal because there is yet one of you that makes any sense at all! I would have more respect for someone that just would have the courage to say... I'm voting yes because just the possibility of a strike scares the living hell out of me so I'll give away as much as it takes just to see this proposal pass!!!

Like this old timer used to say back in the day... the kids nowadays think they know everything but they don't know jack!!! Now... how about answering the rest of my damn questions so you can make yourself look even more ridiculous than you just did with this post.

You think Ernie is trying to frighten people?

You're damn right Ernie knows it... who in the hell do you think was one of the ones responsible for making it a possibility every passing day since 2013 along with everybody that voted yes in 2013!!!

And you're damn right Ernie is trying to frighten people... that's the only way he can get this POS passed!!! Do you actually think that letter was to John Palmer... it may of been addressed to him but it was meant for all the ABF Teamsters to see. But a dumbass like you would never be able to understand such reasoning because you're not any smarter than those gobblers you spend much of your time hunting!!!

Now...tell me....after you wipe the foam off your lips.....if there is (up to) $5/hr. on the table and Central States Pension Fund, or any other Fund isn't getting their share of it...please tell everyone...who's fault is that? A pension fund that is going broke and the trustees can't even collect what has been bargained for them? Reckon why? I'm gonna vote yes, and hope the new pension reform committee soon fires them and passes a law to require all operating companies to pay their fair share. That would include the YRC companies.

"If there is"... what... you don't know??? And you voted for the damn thing without even knowing what was in it. Tell me... just how sad is that? Hell... Nancy Pelosi even has more sense than you because she at least wanted to find out was in the bill after it passed.

What's the matter turncoat... why are you ignoring my questions? I'll tell you why... you can't because you know that you're nothing but a sleazy POS... that's why! And you refusing to answer my questions just proves that. Tell me... are you more proud of the fact that you are a traitor... being Ernie's fool or Judy's bitch?

That's right... you're going to vote yes... then when there's nothing left to give away... you'll just move on from ABF like you did at YRC. Just to show you what a dumbass you really are... you could of just went to XPO and skipped ABF instead of just having to pay dues until you voted your way to making ABF no better than XPO.
