The other day I was cruising a back country road with my orange and white motel, when I seen a crib with an Obama sign in the front yard. The reason it got my attention was that the crib, was a nasty looking trailer house, that the yard looked like a hay field, (the tractor must be broken, because 1st, 2nd, or 3rd cutting had not been taken off yet) and there were more appliances out in the yard, than there is out behind Sears! But, they proudly displayed their Obama sign. My guess is, they heard about the potential for them getting a pay raise. (refund that they didn't even pay in) Where else can you get a refund from something that you didn't pay in on, to begin with? Only in the world of SOCIALISM!

The only thing better than that is to start a company have it fail then get bailed out now that is socialism.Welcome to run scared america the right and left are both guilty of it flip a coin see who is worse. I am ready for the other team to try for a while.

what a beautiful day it was today. i proudly volunteered for my union and spent all day going door to door to talk to people about how bad these past 8 years have been on the working union members and all low income people. we are not looking for a handout just some fairness on trade and other things. but then again we will never see any of this in a republican controlled white house. who could imagine another 4 years of failed republican policies and there attacks on the working people of this country. the bush administration has put us in the worst economic crisis in history and mcain is his twin. republicans, 8 years in white house, 14 years in senate,14 years in congress equaled disaster for all the middle class.

Yes....it was a beautiful day....thank you for your service to your Local!.....KK

Good idea! Let's encourage more people to sit on their ballsack all day, while the rest of us work. My guess is, you voted for Hoffa, both times, and this great contract that we are working under also. Good work. Those folks don't care about fairness in trade, they care about a handout... Did you notice that cat pizz smell at all of the poor peoples house. Nasty. Actually, some of that smell could be human pizz, because they don't have the ambition to work or get off the couch either. But, they are another Democrat vote! You should be commended. Good work!:1036316054:

yes i voted both times for jimmy and no for the great contract. you need to get away from up north and see the devestation and unemployment in this country. but it seems you are in a hole up there and all you do is worry about every one else all the time, even your own coworkers and how many hours they work, runs, and so on.[see your previous posts] and yes every vote counts in this election even from the people you call lazy and poor who cant afford the life that you have. they are the ones who need help now, not us.

Possibly he does have a clue since Michigan has the highest unemployment in the country.

How many union jobs, here in Michigan, have gone up in smoke since our Gov. Granholm has taken over. I will answer this for you....Hundreds of thousands. Hoffa backed her re-election campaign also. She promised to help keep union jobs, yet she sits and watches them leave the state. I know that she does not have total control over the companies leaving Michigan, but she has done nothing to help keep them.(tax breaks etc.) Where is Hoffa now? Is he trying to pressure her at all? I doubt it. The rest of the country is just now starting to feel the pain that Michigan has been feeling for about 4 years now. Team486, that is right, I am concerned about our (loyal) teamster brothers working excessive hours while others are on lay off. If you are offended by that, you must be part of your hog board down there? Easyrider, Don't insult my great state by stating that we have the HIGHEST unemployment rate in the nation. We are now second, thanks to Rhode Island. They are at 8.8%. Michigan is at 8.7%. However, we ARE losing jobs at a faster rate than Rhode Island. We'll catch them. Never give up.:1036316054:

You guys can hagle back and fourth all day long about politics. The real truth is this county is ran by banks ( the federal reserve wich is actually unconstitutional) and large corporations. If you look way back through history, there has always been some sort of system that was tried like the federal reserve that becomes so large that it becomes corrupt and interferes with the political system and had to be stopped. The one we have now has lasted much longer than any other, but it has also came to that point. Banks are already denying loans to large companies based on the fact that their earnings will be down because the Democrats are going to win.
Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws. — G. Edward Griffin

A private central bank issuing the public currency is a greater menace to the liberties of the people than a standing army... We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.. Thomas Jefferson

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the Government, the distress it had wantonly produced ... are but premonitions of the fate that awaits the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution, or the establishment of another like it."Andrew Jackson

"It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their own selfish purposes."Andrew jackson

"Recent events have proved that the paper-money system of this country may be used as an engine to undermine your free institutions, and that those who desire to engross all power in the hands of the few and to govern by corruption or force are aware of its power and prepared to employ it. Your banks now furnish your only circulating medium, and money is plenty or scarce according to the quantity of notes issued by them."Andrew Jackson

How many times are you going to repeat this uniformed LIE? The Democrats have been in control of the House and the Senate for the past 2 years. Why aren't things better. The Democrats could have passed the "Economic Buyout" without any help from the Republicans, did they? Do you have any idea how your ecomony runs, what are the major factors that determine the ups and downs? Do you honestly believe that an Obama administration and a radical left wing leadership team in the congress can bring over a trillion dollars worth of new goverment programs by taxing only the rich? If you do, you don't understand the system very well. Obama is running on a platform of class warfare. Interesting considering he and his wife are in the "elite" class. Tax these trucking companies more and see how many more jobs we lose. The only jobs created in an Obama administration will be gov't jobs. Are you ready to support that system with your tax dollars? Remember, you and I are in the top 25% of wage earners in this country. When the rich stop making money to be taxed they will come for ours next.

Republicans are only against welfare when it doesn't come to them. Take the fleecing of some faithful Republican's donations to the RNC going to buy poor little Sarah Palin's family some new threads....guess she can't afford them on their paltry $250,000 or so income. The bailout? No problem there. It's not going to people who really need it so it's ok. The fat cats of Wall St. are laughing at all of us.

Well, here in Michigan where we have had our own recession for twice as long as the rest of the country, we have a dem for gov for the past 6 years and she has'nt been able to turn things around. And who does she blame everything on? Of course BUSH, so who ever is in charge has really nothing to do with it, this is capitalism and everything will run it's course.

The republican party encourages people to work. Them working puts money into the treasury by them paying income taxes. Republicans are always against welfare. Second, Sarah Palin's clothes are an old issue. Where have you been? She does not own the clothes. They are for the campaign trail, and will be donated and auctioned off when its over. If she didn't have nice clothes on, you would complain that she is trailer trash, so.....Whatever! By the way, Her and Todd's gross income was $166,000.00. Not very much for a politician.

Dear Mr. Flash,

Trying to educate the average American is a complete waste of time. Most people only listen to what is being said on tv and have no understanding how our government works. They dont realize the President has no power making laws and only congress can pass the laws. The democratic party has had control of the law process for two years and has done nothing. They have the power to lower taxes on the midddle class, remove troops from Iraq, and prevent the finanical mess we have now. Neither of the gentlemen running for President will make a difference. We need a change in the Congress. The people who should run this country wont run for office because it is not worth the media headaches.. Untill the media changes, the country will continue to struggle

If anyone thinks the rich will pay more taxes is completely wrong. The rich have paid off the polictions on both sides to keep from paying more. The tax rates are going up and people who earn 50,000 to 100,000a year no matter who gets elected. the question is how high will taxes go

An old issue to her supporters maybe. It does go to show that my point of Republicans only being against welfare when they're not on the receiving end though isn't far fetched at all. But it really doesn't matter. I would never call her trailer trash. That must be a Republican term used as they look down their noses at those less fortunate. You should pray for the less fortunate as you have described yourself as a Christian. And by the way, here's a look at their income, which you underestimated. One would like to think that she could afford her own clothes.

The Palins' assets seem enviable: a half-million-dollar home on a lake with a float-plane at the dock, two vacation retreats, commercial-fishing rights worth an estimated $50,000 or more and an income last year of at least $230,000. That compares to a median income of $64,333 for Alaskans and $50,740 for Americans in 2007, according to the Census Bureau.

Estimates Show Sarah Palin's Assets Top $1M - TIME

And the bailout? I'm sure that in your world the Democrats caused all of it and are going to be the only ones to benefit from it. At least I suspect that's how Newsmax, Fox News, Limbaugh and Hannity spun it.

I can't to see how he spins this!!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

Ummm---actually the Democrats can't just pass anything they want through. If it isn't a filibuster by the republicans then it's Bush giving it the veto.....Now, if the Dems get a filibuster proof majority after Nov 4th---then you will see some stuff get "pushed" through. I do understand the process pretty well----do you?:smilie_132:

You got that right, and the Republicans are all for corporate welfare, 15 billion dollars in tax breaks for the oil companies, a wall street bailout, trade deals robbing this country of good paying jobs while rewarding the CEO of the company that moves off-shore. King George has sure helped the rich get richer and the poor get poorer in this 8 years of reverse robinhood. If we are fortunate enough for the senate to gain enough seats for a veto proof majority which I believe is 60, then you will see some gains for working class people like us. Walmart is already shaking in their boots telling their managers if a Democrat gets elected they may have to go Union. What card carrying Teamster wouldn't like to see that. What Union member wouldn't like to see it made easier for non-union employees that desire to to have collective barganing rights with the FREE Choice Act the IBT has lobbied so hard for. The democratic candidate said he would sign it into law, don't you think that would help all of us? McCain said he would have Fred Smith on his cabinet if he were to win, do you know who that is, the founder and CEO of Fed Ex. Do you think he is going to help with worker friendly laws or legislation? The employees at Fed Ex have to pay for their insurance , go check their boards. Are you better off now than you were eight years ago? If you like this economy, the corporate welfare, tax breaks for the very rich, keep listening to the rantings of a convicted drug addict on the radio(Rus- Limb) and vote republican.

you couldnt say it any better union man. going out again canvasing sunday all day after our general membership meeting. we will have several teamsters and change to win brothers and sisters hitting the streets for our only hope. obama/biden 08 :1036316054:
