As far as mineral rights go, you only have "surface" rights, the mineral companies can go under your property, and there is nothing you can do about it.

This is obviously just another topic that you know absolutely nothing about! Some people do not just have "surface rights". They have mineral rights. We do not even have to have a well placed on our property to get the royalties. They do what is called "directional drilling", which means that they drill on an angle under your property. You get a royalty check every month. And yes, there are private citizens that do own their mineral rights. Try not to tell me how our mineral rights in Michigan work, then you won't look foolish.

Answer the question, is it right for these people who paid nothing in to get something back?

These Alaskans are getting money back from oil royalties because they are Alaskan citizens. That is an advantage to having a system in place that gets revenue for their citizens, because of their minerals. That sounds like smart management via the Alaskan Govt. You should be happy to see them lose money, right? You are mixing the citizens of Alaska getting royalties from big oil, which is a form of Capitalism, with Obama wanting to take tax money from one CITIZEN and giving it to another CITIZEN. That is Socialism. These are two different situations. The Alaskan citizens getting money for them being an Alaskan citizen is OK by me. The rules for the oil companies were put in place so that the oil companies couldn't just take the minerals without paying someone. At first the money all went to the state of Alaska, when the surplus grew too large, they changed the system to "share the wealth" because they are citizens. Good for the Alaskan citizens. But, taking one tax payers money and giving it to another NON-taxpayer is called Socialism.

You don't like the Teamsters.

You have no idea where I stand with the Teamsters. So I will refrain from giving you the little icon that you deserve. I like deciding where I donate money to myself. I don't need the govt. mandating me to donate through the tax system. Along with my donations to Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity, I prefer to donate money to my Teamster brothers when in need. Like when one rear ended a car, and was out for six weeks waiting to get his job back. Or when another rear ended a car and was out for three weeks, waiting to get his job back. Or when another went out for about eight weeks after having a heart attack. Or when another one lost his 16 year old son in a car accident, last August. There is more to being a Teamster brother than just going out looking for a Democrat vote. My guess is, this truck driver (me) has donated about the same amount as Joe Biden has in the last three years. I think he made a little more cash than I did though. He likes to "spread the wealth" as long as it isn't "HIS WEALTH".

If I remember correctly, her Gov. wages are somewhere around 120K annually. Add it up Mr. Dude, That comes up to roughly the 166K that I reported. Any other questions? The reason that we have a secret ballot is to protect us from either UNION, COMPANY or peer interference, intimidation or harassment. The results of the voting is made public once the election is completed, and we do have a free choice to vote, no one twists anyone's arm or holds a gun to any body's head, I would call that free choice.

You believe in Pro-Life and advice the Brotherhood that it would be a good idea to do so because "we as a nation will give account to our creator for that vote" don't you think that the creator gave us free will and that we as individuals, not as a nation, should take responsibility for our actions??

As far as my finances are concerned, I think the creator should start reimbursing me, after all I have been tithing to him/her for a long time. God bless you Preacher.

The other day I was cruising a back country road with my orange and white motel, when I seen a crib with an Obama sign in the front yard. The reason it got my attention was that the crib, was a nasty looking trailer house, that the yard looked like a hay field, (the tractor must be broken, because 1st, 2nd, or 3rd cutting had not been taken off yet) and there were more appliances out in the yard, than there is out behind Sears! But, they proudly displayed their Obama sign. My guess is, they heard about the potential for them getting a pay raise. (refund that they didn't even pay in) Where else can you get a refund from something that you didn't pay in on, to begin with? Only in the world of SOCIALISM!

I guess your pay increase is on its way to "THE WHITE HOUSE"
