Why would you ever work as a Teamster? Is it because you like and have enjoyed the benefits??

Maybe you think you would enjoy those benefits without the Union, if so why are you not working at UPS Freight Truckload?

It’s a job. Being union or non-union makes no difference in the short run.

We all went to a union hall the last 4 days and voted on a contract. To do that you must be a due paying member that should have read the contract. I haven't hide how I voted and anyone that knows me, knows I would be walking the line if it's a no. But I will respect the majority here. Yes votes aren't scabs. I'm proud of UPS freight members for the strong turnout how ever it goes.

Yep. New Penn too.....I just got a survey from TNFINC asking what we want online...all are supposed o go online and anonymously fill it out....supposed to tell what we want democratically...I wonder how many will fill it out......and how many will just complain when our choices are shown and we vote.
Did you guys get anything like that before this?

I can work where ever in the Hell I want to Buddy! That is part of being a American citizen. Guaranteed by the Constitution of the United states of America. Maybe you have heard of it?

Of course I would, But I doubt they would. They seam to have a real problem that we are not part of the NMFA. But then again, this is another completely different debate.

No you did not strike a nerve. And no thanks on any type of truckload OTR. The benefits are Socialist because? That would mean that you believe the IBT is a socialist organization? I prefer to think of the IBT as a service. Like a lawyer or insurance company. And from the vast majority of our members out west they agree with me on this one. they do not Require the IBT to put the screws to the employer to feel well represented in the process. This Vote confirms that UPSF will not be grouped together with the failing policy's and tactics of the NMFA.

Your welcome to your opinion but I dont see YRCW or ABF Teamsters having a problem with you not being in the NMFA. And as far as honoring your picket line if you had one.....history shows NMFA Teamsters would honor your line before your own fellow UPS employees would.

I would love to be part of NMFA if it wasn't for the pension. I don't know how their insurance is now.but it was better than ours. Their contract has been debated so much it really doesn't have gray areas like ours does either.

You don't remember when we were negotiating our first contract? I remember it very well and their was a lot of angry NMFA members that wanted our pension contributions. I remember it well.
