Anybody use any of the apps that make your smartphone into a walkie talkie?

I talked to an Uber driver the other day and he had an app called Zello that was working just like Nextel.

Used it on vacation once. You pick who to put into the app. And then they all can hear it. It has a niche. I don't use it any more. Kinda like a fad for us. Came and went.
