They shouldn’t have run off all the loyal, long tenured drivers they had in the first place. I wouldn’t trust them. Fool drivers once, shame on them. Fool the drivers twice, shame on the drivers.
Do they still pay the drivers by the hour when in the sleeper? von.
Do some DC's offer 7 days on 7 days off? von.
Not that I’m aware of. No 7-7 5-5 4-4 and no more of the 3/2 system, work 2 weeks and have a full week off. I believe all they offer now is work 5 have 2 off and work 5 and have 3 off. Almost everyone is having to work weekends even when they have 10-15 years of tenure. There were rumors that WM was calling some of the guys that quit offering them the same package that they had when they quit. Wether any of them went back and actually received that is questionable.
Thanks. 7 on & 7 off I would take in a heart beat. von.
Maybe you could drive the towmotor than brings the carts in from the parking lot.
Towmotor? been awhile since I have heard that one!
Telling your age?
I guess so. they were bought out by caterpillar in 1965. seems like it was just yesterday
Walmart has rolled back some of treir bad decisions..... Now offering 5on5off
5on2off 6on3off and 5/2-5/3 schdules
NO contract no guarantee better off staying at Holland! They cut all good benefits they once had I believe used to have paid meal breaks and paid to sleep in the truck the original drivers who invested I the stock retired as multimillionaires.
$5000 deductible on healthcare per person.
They still pay you when you take your break in the truck (which for most drivers is every night of their tour). They still pay you for everything you do and I believe they have rolled back (haha get it??) the stupid pay cut they instituted earlier this year that cost them a ton of drivers.
Any other company pay $20,000 a year for your health insurance $300 deductible other than ABF?
Ive been at Wally 5yrs after leaving Holland.... I pay 30$ a pay for health ins have a 2500$ deductible and max of 6500$ out of pocket... Ive made close to 6figures every year and my best year was 116000 im loving it and going no where....Im not a hard charger just go with the flow.....
Kept a holland driver from leaving and going there. If it is 2500 or 5000 too much for me to leave.
I agree its not the best however im making 30000+ more a year so I do alot better. Plus we make our full salary if off upto 6months and thats a free benifit. Also have options as to what Insurance you want....Plus job security is nice!!!! How long will YRC survive?
How long will Walmart survive?? Maybe we should ask the employees of Sears & Roebuck??
