Some are expected to stay away your right.
Whats the big deal about being invited to the White House anyway, it's not like you get to pick the Presidents brain. It's all formal greet and hand shake. If I didn't like the sitting President I wouldn't go either, I'd rather keep my pride.

I wasn’t an Obama fan but if in the position to be invited I would have attended. I’m a little old fashioned and pretty patriotic I beleive the office represents the United States and stands front and center for who we are. There are still a lot of countries where refusal to attend such an invitation can result in sever punishment, People here to often take their rights and freedoms for granted, and should be thankful for the right they have not to attend.

I could see that accepting a invitation to the White House appears to lend support and approval to them. So I think one should be very careful about whom you are seen with.

This post brings an interesting point into the light! I’ll compare to the in-laws and the fact a lot of people dread going to visit on occasions. A person of character (judge by character) would attend keep their personal feeling to themselves out of respect to the one they love act like an adult. Everyone seems to think it’s ok to disrespect everyone and everything today! If you don’t respect the person act like an adult and respect the country and office of the greatest country on this planet!!!!

Politics has no place in sports, and any of them that inject it are jackasses.

Several Eagles have already said today that they won't attend. Who cares?

Some people respect the position of the presidency, some people are political hacks.

Several young people missed an opportunity of a lifetime to participate in the inauguration because of their parents or school officials political bias. The same bias applies here. I am tired of the hatred & intolerance of the hypocritical left.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) —
A historically black college's decision to play at president-elect Donald Trump's inauguration caused controversy with some of the school's alumni.
But it also raised a lot of money.
A Go Fund Me account raising money to help pay for the Talladega College Marching Tornadoes' trip to D.C. raised nearly $600,000 as of Tuesday afternoon. That was nearly eight times the $75,000 goal.

Remember this, I’ll say the left is hypocritical and they’re liars too.

Yep. And the left are the same people who preach tolerance all of the time. In reality, the Democrats and their intolerance is only second to the Muslims.

George Foreman's biggest regret in life was not attending or accepting a White House invitation because of political views. He said he still regrets that decision.
