Glad to hear from you...and a very Merry Christmas to you too!!!
We are all still here. Have said everything we can say. Now just waiting on Jacobs to do something.
At least we were able to enjoy the holidays. A fantastic Christmas this year for me. Hope it was the same for all of us.
Jacobs is gonna make changes. He has to. The way it was, isn't good enough for the way he wants it to be.
It'll be a rocky new year for sure.
I agree with all of your points. Must happen. Hopefully soon,
I'm just curious? What makes you think it will be a rocky year instead of the best year you guys ever had?
It's human nature to be pessimistic in the face of uncertainty.
Change, even for the better, takes getting used to. And not all changes are good in the short term. Even though they may improve long term success.
I only hope that Mr. Jacobs holds to the same safety policy that Doug S. put in place ...especially as it applies to driving in winter weather.
What is your winter weather policy?
Driver is captain of the ship. If no travel advised is out before dispatch, you don't send them. If no warnings, you must attempt your run. If not safe to continue, stop.
Yup... it's just like what UN just posted, now a days. My concern is that it doesn't return to what it used to be years ago w/ this company. Before our Conway CEO lost a family member due to a needless accident, winter dispatch,( P&D and L/H), were never shut down no matter what,(unless the state closed the roads). "Get your chains on and get out there," was the order of the day. After our CEO lost his daughter, Conway became all safety and very cautious about sending guys out in ice and snow. My concern now is that Xpo might prioritize our customers' needs,( in order to maximize profits), instead of making driver safety their top priority; resulting in a reversal of our current relaxed winter driving policy.
Just remember, bigger is not always better!!!! The arrogant leadership hopefully will be gone and it will take a while for that mindset to go also. Be humble in everything you are and do.[/QUOTE]
I like it TF...good advice!!!
This is a great article.

I love hearing this guy talk. Such a massive improvement over Dougie.
Highlight. Intends to organically grow the business by a billion dollars this year.
XPO Logistics to Keep Con-way’s Truckload Shipping Arm
New in trucking bored Laredo teamster
Welcome to the truckingboards and welcome to the teamsters. As you may not know this is a non union board but you are welcome here as long as you are not disruptive. I am a teamster and treaded well here as I do not harass anyone. Great information on all the boards and here as well. Conway XPO is a good company.
So are you one of the XPO Conway Laredo teamsters?
Give us some insight to how things are going and if it has made any difference.
