Has anybody asked their terminal manger if they could buy or rent electric jacks for moving heavy frt instead of killing ourselves. It only seems like when its brought up in meetings the issue its always skirted

I remember this being brought up so many times at my barn. I actually thought they were letting us buy one. Instead we bought a 53' lift gate...

Nothing beats a shiny new 53' to navigate the neighborhoods. Does it have extra armor on the right front corner?

You can either laugh or cry at some of the decisions being made. I always go for the laugh.

The Safety Limit to pulling freight is around 750-1,000lbs. I do believe OSHA has a standard on the weight on a pallet that can be pushed or pulled, without Injuring yourself. Like blowing out your back, shoulders, or knees. Look into it, and take pictures like I do.

If you find a link to that in your travels could you share it? I'll see what I can dig up on it.

when it comes to rock salt liftgate del, we were told to take mt skids along and break down the 2500# skids to make them lighter. fun, fun, fun. then they would have to be plugged in, who gets them, ect ect ect..

After a cycle of paying us to manhandle all that freight ABF would let it go as it would not be profitable.

i would love to see our great leaders come out to one of the trailers in the morning and see if they can move it or we have so many stops that you have time to break skids down :tribehasspoken:
