When I was working freight and the floor got wet it always seemed like they put the biggest idiot on the dock beside me with a skid load.He would rip and roar,spin and slide and get nowhere.Slick tires,slick floor and he couldn't understand why the lift would not move.Real management material.I don't know where OSHA stands on slick floors and forklifts but I'm sure several thousand docks are in the same shape on a wet or humid day.There was one blessing of a wet dock,you never saw upper management walking on it.Maybe they were ignoring the problem as if it didn't exist or maybe they didn't want to slip and bust their azz.
