what i have left after this disagreeable MOU is still greater than I can get in my market.
I find the offer to be insulting, as the new layoff-partimer is concerned. i walked for 21 days over this issue before. this is a different time, vastly differing econmic circumstances, and a whole lot of younger men than me are already looking for the same kind of work that i will be looking for. very few jobs are availble, and they want unconditional availability/flexibility.
even after the cuts/vacation loss, i will still have more left than i can get. from a purely utilitarian viewpoint, this is not win/ lose scenario. :ranting2: I lose either way.
How do I minimize the loss? keep getting a paycheck, that's how.
