I've been trying to find out what the general payrate for Linehaul is at R&L but havent seen much online.

I'm looking at either ABQ NM or HST TX. Is it a flat rate for mileage or does it vary by location/region?

    Thabks for the help.

They pay a flat trip pay. It works out to .62-.63 a mile. You get a hour ($25) for a stop at a terminal en route. No pay for waiting/delay.

Depending on what region you work out of. I was with RL for 5 years, the NJ top rate is 28.50, my switch driver from OH I believe was 26.50 as well as the guys from Chinagrove, NC.

Where you at making that kinda pay? We can barely make .52-.54 a mile avg. And that's at top pay. Not to include all the free time we give them.

They pay a flat trip pay per run. Nothing extra for waiting or drop & hooks.

But there is extra pay if you have to stop at another terminal on your route to switch trailers out. I believe its 20 bucks. We have a guy that does it often on the way to his meet driver. He swaps with a Richmond driver but has to stop at PHI or Newark sometimes.

R&L has lifetime bids, only way to get a bid is if a driver quits or a bid is added.

R+L is about 15 cents per mile behind all the other LTL carriers. No pay for wait time before you leave terminal and paid after 2 hour wait on breakdown. Not the ideal LTL linehaul driving job.

At our barn top runs are 330 a day. They are 10 and 11-hour turn. lowest is a combo run. 6 hr turn and 4 hours in the city on the return. And that is if they need you. So you have to push to work the city or dock to make any money on that run. But at top pay, it would avg 300 a day.
