I've done some research on this and found a few things out. Trucking is one of the few industries that tends to stray away from the wage gap, considering that many drivers are paid for cpm. The industry is starrting to see less drivers skewed towards men with some fleets overhauling thier trucks with automatic transmissions and more ergonomic designs to fit more body types. It's going to be a long haul (no pun intended) to see some changes, but it's clear they are working towards getting there, slowly yet surely.
