TForce | What should overnite thread be called?

The actually name of the company is going to be UPS Freight but for legal purposes when we sign bills or delivery reciepts we will be signing UPGF. UPS Ground Freight is the legal name. I'm guessing that eventually there will be a UPS Air Freight and hard to tell what else......

I always wondered why UPS didn't call Cartage Services, (Menlo), UPS Air Freight?

Maybe because UPS already offered air services through the package division and didn't want to confuse people?

As so many people have said, "Overnite will be no longer after May 1st." So I suggest we move the Overnite name to the "gone but not forgotten" section.

Where did it sink....I think we got a brand new paint job and we are steaming towards the sunset.....
If I never saw "O" before, and got a look at the equipment and facilities, I'd say that Brown threw out a life raft. Otherwise I don't think this ship would have gone another few years. Just look at the stock before the buyout. All the other carriers were gaining in shares and price and ours dropping like a fast potatoe. Now on a different note, I also believe this is exactly what UPS wanted. A carrier who owned most of their properties and equipment, regardless of condition. Who's workforce had seen many labor issues, including strikes and still hung in there. If you think about it, they made out like bandits in property alone. Nevermind getting a weather tested, loyal workforce who is grateful to have this opporntunity. What ever the future may bring, I like my new ship. :party-smiley-017:

Having been with "O" for a while, I have seen this company go slowly year after year down the drain. It pained me because I also saw my future go with it. I have been with a few carriers before both union and non-union that disappeared. Finally I know that I have a secure future. Also having worked for Brown many moons ago, I know that lack of professionalism will not be tolerated. The new slogan, "Best of the Best" will not be tarnished by anyone. This is what this carrier does. Believe me, it may take a little bit, but we will most certainly be. :d6625240:

I agree with you. I like my new ship also. I think that in the future in order to make it you are either going to be huge......or gone. I'd say since we are now part of the largest tranportation company in the world things are looking up. I'm just looking to do my part to get it to "the best of the best"....
