UPSF affairs is none of my business, but if I had to take a guess at it, I would guess that yo people will make more money than ever and you are sitting pretty in this situation... Plus you now have much better job security and a owner with very deep pockets

I worked for ST.Johnsbury for awhile about 20 years ago.
    We called them Saint Jay.
Over the years of working for Overnite, sometimes customers I delivered to asked how did they come up with their name?
Than they would say that it should be called Overweek, for their slow service.

Hey you can never please every customer I don't care who runs their freight down the road some, people can't be pleased.

"May the Lord direct your path it works for me.

Started non-union after dropping out of school,at age 17.
First job was garbage truck route $ 42.00 a week cash.
Than worked in a warehouse unloading trucks till noon, than loaded a truck and delivered a route untill late at night.$ 1.45 an hour straight time.
Gov. didn't have hours of service back then.
    After a year I got a $.05 raise.
    I said bye bye.
    Than
    two plumbing,and heating warehouse,and delivery jobs,all non-union.

Early 60's I got my first union job Eazor Express $3.30 per hour time, and a half after 8 hrs.
They merged with Daniels Motor Lines, dove tailing senority.
Big mistake there was a wild cat strike, cut tires, shooting into trailers, and burning a terminal in P.A.

    Than onto St.Johnsbury.
    Fired for a mega accident.
    Went to Halls Motor Transit.
Till they closed the doors mid 80's
Worked as a spare for 11 union companies, untill a no fault accident, that I ran up against no representation from my local Teamster business agent.
I was running into the old age issue.
Younger drivers were getting work over me even though I was a smarter worker,I knew all the routes, and could handle freight better.
But the union companies wanted the younger ones .
Overnite didn't want me for all the union yrs. I had.
But my pastor had the church pray for me to get hired on.
With in a week I was hired even though the TM said he didn't know why he was putting me on.
I say thank God, Overnite has been the best driving job I've ever had.

"May the Lord direct your path it works for me"
