Have to keep a ear out and eyes open...Someone mentioned it to me and I did a little research and found this, but I have not heard anything from any Gaffney drivers.
Yes, That would make a huge change of operations...Isn't Gaffney the hub for the South East? Unless they start more direct routs from the other barns I can't see them rerouting freight.
At hrs when we were routing around Gaffney it all but crippled the dock operation, we had 15 less strip doors for that week.
Taking away that many strip doors from a 193 door barn that uses every door was a pretty big deal.
How many single and team runs do they have?At the rate they are cutting runs there will be nothing left of Gaffney anyway. 3 more single runs cut in the last two weeks.
We are down to I believe 48 single runs. Our biggest sleeper now gets under 4000 miles per week. How many single and team runs do they have?
A 60 80 door terminal can easily do that. Sad but it's been in the works with the company and union since conception...We are down to I believe 48 single runs. Our biggest sleeper now gets under 4000 miles per week.
