Ill tell you what ill miss the most.

Every time i came in the yard weather it was Joe Saint Gary W. (Vernon Brown). I miss you Vernon.
OR anyone behind the window like Vance they all knew me by name and took a min to see how im doing.
That was one thing that always shocked me. They did not see me but a few times a year since i was never really in NJ yard much but still know me by my Full name. And I never had my name on me so yes lol they did know it was me. And When i lost Weight Dave Stokes noticed right away.

And one other thing ill miss is Rick in the Shop on 3rd shift. He always took good care of me but what ill miss about him will be him bitching at me saying That truck was new one day before you got it lol. So one day he was yelling at his computer and i said Rick you know that computer was new one day. He looked at me after taking a bite of his Salad and said WTF it works harder then your truck does but its here just as much lol. Ill miss everyone at NCT well not everyone but all the old timers that i started here with 8 years ago. Ty for making this a great job. And now im off to bed I have to be up in 5 hours to go find a job lol

although I've been out of New Century for almost 2 years, to this day I often think about my dispatcher John Buddendorf, aka BUD. In the 38 years in the business he was by far the most professional and talented man. He has his **** together each and every day I worked for him. We had a unique relationship each knowing what our capabilities were. Always pleasant and understanding no matter what he had on his plate.Willing to work WITH YOU not against you. When in a pinch he knew he could count on me and I on him. He respected my opinion as a driver and that in turn was the respect given back.

what?! no one mentioned mike mcmahaom? shocking! :LMAO: the other names mentioned above are great people. mick and joe walker. dennis. love to watch him talking to himself when drivers would drive him crazy. vernon brown taking the new guys on the company tour. local divers all showing up at the same time on friday pizza night...only day of the week...go figure?! the great equipment in the beginning. knowing that if you were one of the guys that "got" it done you would actually get some respect from the good dispatchers. lazy arse greg, the ne dispatcher...a big do nothing. matt...a guy that couldn't do enough for you. my worst memory, dealing with kevin long, safety, when i got seriously hurt in 2011 and he called me a liar. glad he is gone but chas and jo-ann and the rest of the office people who treated me good, hope they land on feet. good luck to all the good people at NCT...it was a helluva ride...while it lasted.

You said it all sargetom rofl. God Greg use to stare at the computer and look so lost. I think he was there just to get some rest or something he sure never looked like he was doing much.
And Kevin Long yup i was hurt one time and he was like well you did not say your knee hurt when you fell so sorry its on you... I fell on ice thought my leg broke sorry i did not use the word Knee!
But yes Dennis was funny when someone got him all wound up. I know i have a few times hehe lol But he made me pay the price for sure. But it was fun. Im going to miss alot of people from NCTA. I hope to find jobs with some of the good ones. Ones that started before me and had respect for our Company...

. I agree but before Bud in the days when one dispatcher handled the area of maybe 3 or 4 Tom Miller comes to mind. He too like Bud was a hell of a dispatcher! And let's not forget Skip! Running Central Jersey for him on occasion was a pleasure. And I agree Kevin Long well that's another story.

WOW skip that was a name i have not heard in along time. And i agree with KL lol I miss Quinny the most i think but loved working with Bill Tracy also. They were always fare with me. IF Bill was going to **** me he would tell me atleats but he
always said he dont forget and he dont. One time i was in Mass working for him sick as a dog he said look i know i ****ed you before. Im going to give you 3 pickups and at the lastone you can sleep there and coem to the yard when you feel better.
He kept his word and also put a note in not to send me out unless im over the Flu. He was the only one that cared. Dennis was trying to push me back out the Door and Bill jumped up and said go see Gary he knows. Im went out to my truck and slept for what seemed to be 24 hours till i even wanted to drive. I could not even get a thought in to driving home.

Seeing names I haven't thought of in ages. I used to be a window jockey, so I spent my days with Skip, Miller, Bruno, Kevin, Salty, Saint, the Walker boys, Greg (I think he was confused from his first day!), Dennis, PZ, Lynn... I knew every driver who walked through those doors. Used to wheel and deal with the dispatchers myself to get guys on loads that would get them home sooner, yet they wouldn't let me apply to be a "Dispatcher". Eh, guess that's what I get for not kissing up to particular people.
