What do you think about a certain hedge fund buying 5% of YRCW stock ??
Are they thinking buy-out or just taking advantage of the undervalued stock ?

undervalued definitely

The strategy here is to take the undervalued stock, (knowing it's undervalued and will go up eventually), and at the same time creating an interst in the stock for investors. As this may ultimately end up being 10% of the company where it is now 5% because other holders may be backing out or whatever, this is a win win and everyone should be going after this stock right now. Even Union Company haters.:chairshot::1036316054::funky::smilie_132:

Buy it Buy it Buy it! That's my strategy, if you tell me to sell, I buy more. If you tell me to buy, I may hold, if you tell me to hold, I definitely will not sell.:1036316054::smilie_132:

Stock buy

I have seen several large transactions over the last several months or so.
Some for 500,000 shares some for 1,000,000 both on the buy and sell side.

This is not all that uncommon.

Here is one example from last year.
Arnold Van Den Berg initiated holdings in Trucking company YRC Worldwide, Inc.. His purchase prices were between $37.31 and $44.62, with an estimated average price of $39.9. The impact to his portfolio due to this purchase was 2.36%. His holdings were 2,763,067 shares as of 06/30/2007.
