When some folks win lotteries, one thing their money can't buy is brains.

Stupit people.

They do ridiculous things when they have sudden wealth.

Like Jack Whittaker.

Jack Whittaker is a contractor from West Virginia. In 2002, he won $315 million dollars in the Powerball lottery. Whittaker couldn’t control himself and gave in to his urges, visiting a strip club where $545,000 of his money got stolen.

The lout could have hired a dozen women to come to his house and perform privately for him.

And why was he carrying $545,000?

What a maroon.

1st and foremost, people should seek out a certified/licensed financial planner. then a lawyer, then maybe even a private security company, owned and operated by a former law enforcement person.

many people have never had such amounts of money, and blow it all off in days, or weeks, even in a few short months.

no one wants to be told what to do when so much money comes in, as they may think that someone else is there to "get 'em", or they know what to do and can take care of themselves, but yet they trust the cockroaches of life.

we all would like to think what we would do with such windfalls, and many take the time to seek out professionals and plan really very well too.

but as long as there will be stupid people, there will be once again....poor people.

Anyone with at least half a brain would set up a trust in another name.
Then have a lawyer claim the prize, that way nobody knows you are suddenly rich.
Than you can live the way you want, with nobody bugging you.
