Senate Republicans narrowly passed a $4 trillion budget plan Thursday, taking their first big step toward a tax reform package promised by President Donald Trump.

Approval of the plan allows the Senate to use a special process known as "budget reconciliation" that would forestall a Democratic filibuster.

"Tonight we completed the first step towards replacing our broken tax code by passing a comprehensive, fiscally responsible budget that will help put the federal government on a path to balance," said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. "We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to replace a failing tax code that holds Americans back with one that works for them."

Feel free to post the details where it favors the working class
Something tells me " fiscal responsible " and gop tax legislation don't fit in the same sentence

Boo-hoo. Let them finish writing it and then you can complain. What Trump put out so far sounds good. Some of the rumors are just that, rumors.

I am not quite able to see cutting taxes being a winner in the long run but I do understand the pretext behind it. Are you saying the more jobs would be harming the working class? I know Magoo feels that way but do you too?

Sometimes I wonder if there's any thinking going on there at all...the tax reform is supposed to create a better environment for companies who, in turn hire workers. See, the means to the end here is more manufacturing, more jobs, more payroll taxes and less burden on tax payers to support the unemployed. In theory it results in a win/win/win except for those who don't want to work but will have no choice other than to go to work.

    Listen........and weep.

For anyone short on time, you can skip to about the 3:00 mark and get the pertinent details.
*The bill will save the average American family $350.00 per month,.......$4,000 per year in taxes.
*The bill will also save those at poverty levels money because of the "Double Standard Deduction" that is included.

So tell us 20, do you have so much money that you don't need another $4,000.00 per year for your income?

First of all this info on the video is a tax proposal and won't be signed until december 1st ( according to the video ) if it even passes the house or senate
Last but not least it doesn't give me specifics on who qualifies monthly or yearly.

When people have good income, jobs, and more money in their pockets, they spend more money which jump starts an economy and creates an economic boom. Those factors ADD money to the treasury, so you are likely wrong.
