under your name when you post what are the little blue shield with the white crosses on them. What do they mean?:14:

It's just a program in which the shields will turn darker blue the more you post.....and I think a Moderator will have 4 dark blue ones and a Super Mod or Administrator will have all 5 dark blue.
Don't quote me on this, but I think that's pretty close to how it works.

Rep, or Reputation power is where someone can add to your Rep if they like your post, or give you bad Rep if they don't......this is done by clicking on the scale in the upper right section of a post.....I'll give you some good Rep.....click on User CP in upper left of a page to view your Rep and the comments people can make there.
