i know very well what socialism is... he advocates free health care run by the govt... taxing the oil companys on thier profits that THEY EARNED!!!!!!!! he will eventually try to control every facet of our lives!!! i dont know about you but i can damn well take care of myself!!! thats what we need is apresident with less expierience than any running mate out there that he could choose.did i mention savings accounts for everyone set up by the govt? negotiating with terrorist? you probably believe that he never heard rev wright say any of that bullshit too..... right??? the dumbass cant speak without a telepromter. thats what we need!!!

Redistribution of Wealth is an act of socialism, and is purely against our constitution, furthermore stop paying your taxes on property you own outright and see what the government does best. These two examples are acts of socialism.

We are, as a country, not a "Democracy" But A Republic of states under one constitution in a free market society. Someone should tell our politicians to get their acts straight first. Many scholars of economics and constitutional scholars ,will say and have said ( and can be googled on any college web site) we are in the midst of socialism when the masses turn to the government for answers to these rough economic times. And to say one politition is truthfull over another thinking nither one has any" hidden agendas" is fooling themselves and in maturity is very naive.

FHA, VA, AMERICAN DREAM, SOCIAL SECURITY, WELFARE, FANNIE MAE, FREDDIE MAC, FDIC, NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND, ETC.ETC.ETC. All acts of socialism, and all are redistribution of wealth, all things I would rather not pay for and all things of which my tax base is comprised of.

Government bailouts for people who ventured into irresponsible spending practices, this action would deter people from doing the responsible thing, "SAVING MONIES" or making legislation to deter the detrimental effects of irresponsible spending. Please there is more evidance of socialism then not, google it, you will see.

The unfortunate truth is GOV. is playing a big role in our lives everyday and from time to time opresses the smaller working class man or (WOMEN) for the benefit of themselves.

I will vote, mccain, We need less GOV, and more Responsibility. Hopefully he sticks with his party. I bet I have a better chance of seeing the lord almighty.

Obama wants to put a windfall profits tax on the oil companies like Exxon-Mobil. That is socialism.
All that will accomplish is force Exxon-Mobil to produce less oil so that they don't show any profit that can be stolen from their shareholders to redistribute to ignorant people that would vote for Obama for a hand out.
Learn to depend on yourself and not what a politician will steal from someone else just to buy your vote.
You will only learn to be a disappointed and disgruntled human being when that same politician that you voted for stabs you in the back because he caused you to lose your job due to lack of oil.
The economy of this country runs on petroleum products and don't ever forget it.

And don't forget that if Obama-Biden manage to win this election the first thing you need to do is sell any and all stock mutual funds you may own in your 401K plan the very next day before everybody else cashes in on their capital gains before they go up, and the stock market tanks big time. You ain't seen no Bear Market till Obama-Biden manage to shut down this economy.

TAX,TAX,TAX,TAX. And we think things are expensive now.:hysterical: Bet they will vote in a raise for themselves with all this new revenue, meanwhile we will be eating quaker oats for supper, and burning down our houses for heat.

Actually these socialists know deep down inside that by raising taxes they will actually generate less revenue to the treasury.
When asked about this in one of the debates, Obama said it was an issue of fairness and not about generating more revenue.
It is all a big gimmick to get the uneducated bozos in this country to hate the rich and the successful people.
In the meantime when taxes get too high, the rich just sell their stocks and invest only in municipal bonds that are exempt from taxes.
Bottom line is the rich with their accountants and lawyers will find loopholes and the federal government ends up with less tax receipts and more unemployed workers looking to file for unemployment benefits.

i really can't top that.they know taxes will kill the economy but they hate they rich people and highly profitable companies.in their eyes EXXON-MOBIL must die.just think how many people will be hurt by killing the economy and then who will get the blame.they will blame the companies for not doing more to help instead of admitting the government did it.this guy will make Jimmy Carter look like a smart guy and that is saying a lot.

This is usually what happens ,yes, I agree, it is a sad state of affairs, the true problem here is the key word "CHANGE" when I hear the messiah puke this bull I have to laugh it is all nothing but lip service.

This is the true problem " lip service" most politicians are nothing more then glorified actors and actresses, I have always agreed with a flat tax, it can be monitored and introduced on a fair playing Field. The unfortunate truth is with this abomination of a tax code, most with impressive income can and do manipulate the tax code for their own interests. Leaving the man at the bottom of the food chain more often then not picking up the tab.

So many things to say, and so little space to say it in.
1) I too favor a flat tax with hardly any loopholes or tax deductions like home tax deductions.
2) Main reason why this is so hard to pass is that it takes the politicians out of their game. They would not be needed to write any new tax laws. It would also limit the use of lobbiest that give money to politicians to write certain laws to make live harder for the competition. In turn these lobbiest are the ones that feed money for these politicians to run for reelection.
3) Also high taxes makes it harder for the ones trying to move into being rich.
Thus the rich don't mind having certain taxes high to keep others from getting to that level.
