Voting concludes at trucking company ABF amid opposition to Teamsters sellout

Workers at the less-than-truckload company ABF are concluding their voting on a Teamsters- and company-backed contract Tuesday evening.

The Teamsters union announced the tentative agreement to much fanfare, declaring it a great victory for ABF workers. But workers are angry about the details of the contract, which include significant concessions on wage progression, benefits and other details. Several locals have already voted down the contract, and the large Local 63 in Southern California, with 700 members, finished voting Tuesday night. The outcome of the vote at that local will be decisive.

You know it's amazing how many uninformed people we all work with. They see dollar signs and immediately brag that it's the best money they have ever seen. It's truly mind-boggling sometimes. These companies have 2 things in mind. Make the most money, FCK over the workers. As for the unions, I believe it's both shameful & sad at the power they once had to have it all gone up in smoke. They're willing to accept & bring to their members sub-standard contracts in order to keep the lights on

The article is mostly debunked!
1st. There’s no smoke and mirrors!
Read pages 25-26 of the master tentative agreement.
It’s in there!
Most importantly: “The company will not seek” paragraph.
2nd. Many tally’s coming out are landslide “yes”.
The article is accusing Teamsters negotiators of fraud that didn’t happen!
There are no hidden clauses!
Consider the Source!

What I find most disturbing is someone will read an article, not fact check it, post it as fact, and then join in on bashing his own Union members!
Shameful

If the unions don't work with employers to "keep the lights on" then who will be left for the unions to represent? :duh:

Did you two idiots read the whole article? It also says teamster pensions are severely underfunded. WRONG. They are, or will be, fully funded til 2050. It’s an anti union website, trying to start ::shit::!!

Who sent you the article, Alex jones

You know what's interesting about that site? They have been mostly pro-union in a kind of uninformed way for so long, and now they pull the rug out from under the union in a completely false, not just uninformed but straight up LYING sort of way....that is EXTREMELY odd.

Anyone with half a brain would’ve quickly realized the article was published by a socialist/communist troublemaking web group that is often debunked!
And even less brains to open the master tentative agreement and find the section that the publisher is claiming isn’t there!
But we have to deal with morons that want to bash members for not reading the agreement! Oh the irony!
