Worker killed when tractor-trailer slams into garbage truck

COLUMBIA, N.Y. (AP) - A waste company worker was killed when a tractor-trailer slammed into the back of a garbage truck parked on the shoulder of a road in Herkimer County.

County Coroner Dan Enea says Gilbert Welch of Waterville was picking up trash along Route 28 in Waterville Thursday morning for Spohn's Disposal Service in Mohawk when the accident occurred. Welch was struck by both vehicles.................

More likely he was pinned/crushed between both vehicles.
