I'm pretty much brand spanking new to sysco, I expressed concern during the interview but was told if the merger happened I would have seniority over any us foods driver
The way I see it just like the two companies compete for customers with pricing and service they compete for employees with pay and benefits. There will plenty of work but one less company in the market that pays well will only help to drive wages down in the long run IMO.
How they handle the transition and whether or not they dovetail will probably be different from house to house.
