The argument is about Federal Express... not FedEx Freight or Ground.

Federal Express is next day air and two day service... but mostly by plane... and delivered by different trucks than ground or freight.
 
well i thought it was pertaining to the whole company. i guess i was wrong if it was just express then i understand why fedex is having a fit. package does have an advantage thought by having one driver for a customers package needs. (air and ground)

It says Fed Ex Express is not included with the rest of the companies.
FedEx Express is Federal Express... which was the first company started by Fred Smith.

The rest were all purchases and name changes.

I hope the politicians weren't bought off by browns lobbyists.....just like they are with every other lobbyist.

55 minutes on the clock for me. ALL of our employees should be concerned about the future of our company. If not these employees should go work elsewhere.

I believe Fed Ex originated from RPS a company ROADWAY started. They started this company with the pickups that UPS missed every day. And RPS was sold and became Fed Ex.

You are wrong in your belief that one should work elsewhere if one did not sell out against what they believe.

ALL ALL ALL the Fed Ex companies are goverened by the RLA.
 
Railway Labor Act

UPS should be lobbying to be included in the RLA... not trying to screw the competition by paying off employees to write letters...and buying off politicians with lobbyists.

While we are clarifying... RPS became FedEx Ground.

American Freightways and Viking became FedEx Freight.

Roberts Express became FedEx Custom Critical

Watkins became FedEx Freight LTL

There could be more I am leaving out but the point here is:

Federal Express..also called FedEx Express(The one in question) was started as an air freight company (by Fred Smith...Mr. FedEx) and is how it remains in the RLA.

Just found this:

It is noteworthy that throughout the 1990s, UPS sought to have their drivers reclassified from the NLRA to the RLA. Only after a decade of failure at that effort did UPS join the Teamsters in trying to reclassify FedEx Express.


So I guess the motto is:
If you can't join em....F' em

i work with alot of guys that are brainwashed into supporting a certain rightwing agenda........no matter how it affects there future........just like lemmings.
