XPO | XPO Logistics Inc.: XPO Logistics Announces Pricing of $1.6 Billion Term Loan Credit Facility

Is this supposed to be a doom and gloom thread?

How do you get doom and gloom out of refinancing debt to a lower rate ? And Jacobs saying that a recent influx of cash makes debt reduction possible to the point that he wanted more flexibility to pay off debt more quickly ? Or that this move in and of itself saves $40 million a year in interest ?

The mutha sucka knows how to make money.

Highspeeds , there are always some people hoping he will slip up ( Bill Zollars style ) But slowly but surely he keeps making sound decisions for the business. Bradley Jacobs knows what he's doing.

It's clear and obvious that this dude is gonna get paid. He's has a track record of success. Flipping massive companies. And this is likely the last big flip hurrah for him before he retires.

Yes, BJ is gonna get paid, the people whose jobs he eliminates will not. BJ does have a record of success, at the cost of his employees.

A year ago, people bitched that the company was bloated and cuts needed to be made. Now, guys like you are bitching that those cuts are being made.

I don't think sound business decisions are a bad thing. I assumed since a union guy posted it, he wanted it to be about the ship sinking.

TeamstersL200 on the other hand is a dirty troll looking to profess the end on the world if we don't all support his union.

You make a good point. Cuts are coming. A lot more cuts to be made. Many of them we have been waiting for. Some are not as pleasant. But we all know and accept that things cannot remain the way they were or even the way they are. So those of us who actually work here sit and wait for the news.

It's like the pension buyout rumor. Some people are still pissed that they lost their pension and want it restored. Others have already decided how to spend their buyout check and want that money ASAP. Everyone has their own take. And everyone will get through it in their own way.
