This speculation is just for entertainment ( for me ) If we only knew what's next? For a lot of people it is the easiest thing to predict the downfall of this or that company ( simply because so much effed up stuff DOES happen ) Every once in a while it would be nice to see the little guy come out on top.

For YRCW employees that have so much of their future tied up in the place and did nothing but go to work everyday , hopefully a $100 million is a drop in the bucket to one of these companies that could buy you out. I personally believe that whoever could buy YRCW is sitting on their hands until the next round of contracts are up and/or there is an economic downturn. In either case , someone will try and get a bargain on ABF or YRCW.

100 mil, that number is way to low for what’s owed to the pension . YRC did not contribute anything from 2009- 2013/14 and since has been contributing 25 cents on the dollar since for YRC Freight, New Penn , Holland and Redway. The number probably begins with the letter “B “.

I wish the company's would just appreciate the sacrifices we all make, its amazing how little respect upper management has for us,all we do is fill their pockets, and all they do iswant to cut benefits and pay ,go figure.

They hire contract work to deliver the crap that their drivers won't. At least that's how they do it around here.

That's just it. The yellow/roadway part of YRC is not a cash cow. It's losing money. And is already bloated with debt. The Holland/New Penn part of YRC is the part that makes money. The banks have already said that this situation is unsustainable.

And at this point we all make roughly the same. The only thing that changes is what shirt you are wearing. But because of work rules and pay scales and what not, some work fewer hours to get the same money. That's the only real difference. Is time invested. For money received. We all end up with the same W-2. It's amazing how close it is. I didn't used to believe it. But so many have quit this place and drive elsewhere. It's true. We all end up the same at the end of the year. It's kinda creepy that they are able to regulate it so closely as they do.

YRC has gotten away with not paying it. A potential buyer would find a way to get away with not paying it too.

Driver I was talking to said all they would have to do is pull the top driver from every yellow/roadway terminal and put him on the board at the Holland terminal in the same city and they could close down and sell off the whole of yellow/roadway without any hang ups at all. Is that true ?

And every time they have cut your pay and benefits they have gotten themselves big checks for the effort.

    I'm hete
I'm not here to argue, but let's face it,when corporations make purchases, the labor force is the one who takes the hit,no matter who you work for.right now yrc is rolling in cash, thanks to sacrifices by its employees, and I'm sure things will change at your place, and not benefiting the employees, ups said that no one moves freight more efficient than yrc.they don't want pension liabilities,or they would have already owned yrc,yrc is not going anywhere.trust me.the banks own them for starters, and if it was that bad why keep it,money my friend.yrc just over 6 million dollars on equipment.where did that come from?...the bank, because they know what they got

YRC has free cash flow. If it wasnt, they would have closed up shop. But it makes enough money to keep the interest payments up and keep folks employed. Accounting rules and gimmicks make it seem otherwise.Remember banks dont care about principal, they care about the perpetual interest revenue stream. They will typically just roll over the loan and the interest continues to flow..

Trust you ? Where are you getting your information ? Congratulations on finally getting both businesses under 100 OR. You technically have an opportunity to be profitable even though you have again shown a loss. And as far as paying down debt ? The EBITDA to debt ratio in 2016 was 3.4 it's 3.38 for 2017. What TDU bull crap are you reading. That company is garbage. You are the only nonsense on this page.

This and more of this. That is a great post.

Also, there are laws now about predatory lending and there are limits to how far the banks can continue to finance a failed enterprise.

The Holland guys around here are talking about strike and walkout and this fool Skypilot wants me to believe some idiocy and say I am stupid for not buying his ignorance.

Did you see a company just gave $1.5 Billion dollars to it's pension fund ? Wasn't YRC was it ? Nope it was damn FedEx. They ain't even union.

What good is a union but to talk you into throwing your life away on a job you should have ran from years ago ? Oh yeah, they are looking out for the rank and file. Sure they are.

Just my opinion. You know, based on facts. That's all. Just a fact inspired observation.
