I didn’t dance around anything, in fact I acknowledged that fact in the very first sentence.

8 years in Teamsters shop. I got laid off and when I went to the hall to find another job, the only thing they cared about were if my dues were paid. Between that and stealing the pension, it’s pretty clear to me that they don’t care about workers. They’re no different the greedy companies you pay them to fight.

You didn’t dance around anything, but said we can dance around this all night. If you held the union accountable like you hold the government, maybe the corrupt leaders would be replaced with people that will do their jobs instead of getting rich on the workers backs.

But you blame the government more than you blame the Teamsters.

LTL TRUCKING COMPANY BANKRUPTCIES & SHUTDOWNS
    2010s SO FAR....
Brandt Truck Lines Bloomington, IL. March 22nd 2011.
NYCE or New York Carolina Express Greensboro, NC. has now closed their doors on Nov. 2nd 2012. making this company the latest in another LTL company gone forever.

Deregulation of the trucking industry in the form of the Motor Carrier Act of 1980 caused increased competition in the Less than a TruckLoad (LTL) industry. Non-union carriers quickly began taking advantage of their lower labor costs to gain market share. Most of the companies ABOVE were union carriers who were unable to compete, though a few were non-union carriers. The trend seems destined to continue until the LTL market is entirely composed of low cost non-union carriers.

Correct. Now direct some of those little squiggly things at the union. Maybe then I’ll believe you about holding them accountable.

Again where did I say I didn't? If you weren't so busy bashing everything union, you would have a little more time to read with comprehension. Does the union have problems, oh hell ya.

If you go back and read some of the pro union guys that post , and you aren't picking a fight with them , you will find that many are knowledgeable and reasonable and that you have more in common with them than you don't.

If you read their posts on their company's section you will find many of the same issues and problems that you find on the non-union boards.

And , you will find detailed criticisms of the union from top to bottom when it is wrong and praise when it is right.

Ok you were laid off and went to get a withdrlaw card and they wanted to make sure your dues were up to date so you could remain in good standing, and this upset you against the union? I take your in CSPF had 8 years vested in 5 plus 3 more don't think they stoled much of your pension. The union can't force a company to hire you they can help thats about it. Is their problems with the union yep sure are would I trade for something else heck no, it's life and it's not fair either so get over the fact the union screwed you.
