More information on this pension fund, UPS pays in $564 a week, 4x the amount of the average contributor. UPS employees are 29% of participants and make 58% of yearly contributions. They estimate for the next ten years they will lose 3% a year, of non UPS participants, 2% a year after that. The pension fund estimates by the year 2048, there will be a 64.2% chance it will still be solvent, that's after losing an estimated 70% of it's non UPS participants. If my interpretation of the Western PA Teamster pension fund MPRA application is wrong, I would like to be corrected by someone with more knowledge than myself.
