Every freightline ABF bought was discounting freight the day they went out of business. As I understand the agreement YRC agreed to was not to discount freight if the concessions on pension & wages passed. The discounting is what made it so difficult for ABF to compete.

I think that is how CF did it too. Talking with some of the old CF employees, several have mentioned how CF docks were full of freight on the day the company locked the gates and closed the doors.

I heard of so much freight on the dock that workers came in on weekends just to find lost freight on the dock so it could get delivered.
