The first time I heard that come from the Union, I knew it would be all downhill from there. And then being told "just be happy you have a job".

And for the Freight Division anyhow - we are just about at rock bottom. The first time I heard that come from the Union, I knew it would be all downhill from there.
Good question. Why are so many otherwise sensible, realistic and well-informed hard working people allowing them selves to be conned by false promises made by slick-talking con artists? It is becoming a ponzie scheme that makes Bernie Madoff look like an amateur and the 2001 ENRON Corp failure look like "small potatoes". Why? is a good question. So far the top brass at YRC (with Hoffa's blessing) has managed to siphon off over $2.3 billion from YRCW paychecks and they're not done yet. Why are so many people so blind? If you guys think the horse is dead why do you keep kicking it?
That's our choice to continue with this company if we so choose too. Hearing how bad it is from the one who chose to leave or are still here and complaining constantly but won't leave is quite annoying I think we all know how bad it is here by now.Good question. I guess you could ask the 918 people who blindly followed Jim Jones to Jonestown, Guyana in 1978. Problem is, you can't. They're all dead. They all committed ******* en masse. They followed the lies and believed the promises of their con artist leader, too. Why? We'll never know.
While we are not talking about mass ******* at YRCW, the mass control of so many people (26,000 YRC only - 32,000 YRCW combined) by slick con men is staggering. I think even THEY are amazed at what THEY have accomplished without costing themselves a dime personally. They even gave themselves raises and big bonuses. If you want to use the analogy of "kicking a dead horse" - How about another one such as the "vultures" (YRC brass) picking the bones of that "dead horse" (YRCW) as long as there is even a scrap of meat left.
That's all well and good for those that voted YES to give back 15% of pay plus vacations and other benefits, but what about all those that voted NO, but are still forced to go along with the spineless majority? A majority NO vote would have called the company's bluff or simply ended the pain a long time ago. Now it is a "green light" for any other union company to do the same. They know the Teamster Freight Division is all talk and no action. That's our choice to continue with this company if we so choose too. Hearing how bad it is from the one who chose to leave or are still here and complaining constantly but won't leave is quite annoying I think we all know how bad it is here by now.
Majority rules on vote. It sucks i know but if they didn't like outcome the door is open for them. I meet more no voters now and I'm left wondering where is all these yes voters at? Membership is part of them blame just as much as Hoffa IMOThat's all well and good for those that voted YES to give back 15% of pay plus vacations and other benefits, but what about all those that voted NO, but are still forced to go along with the spineless majority? Just like I said.....there is no "brotherhood" or backbone in the Teamster movement any more. If we won't stick together, then we die together.Majority rules on vote. We need his father, James R. to come back from wherever he is to bang HIS FIST into Junior's face.....the only thing Junior has in common with his father is the last name. Way too many idiots in the Teamster membership just can't understand that.Careful henry you'll make hoffa BANG HIS FIST ON THE DESK, then, he'll do.............nothing
More like forward and bent over!!!!Freight will never see another good contract because the brass realize that they have the members leaning backwards.
I remember it full well. CF fully funded CCX. The only reason CCX (now XPO) even exists is Teamster members' money, dedication and sweat that made CF what it once was. Then CF stabbed those same employees employees in the back.Just remember, the long time xpo guys are the same ones that ran cf out.
I'm left wondering why you still think there were more yes votes on paper than no votes. Hoffa corruption knows no bounds.Majority rules on vote. Real democracy in action at the union hall? With no pressure from the union bosses to vote the way THEY want?Mb the vote should have been a yay or nay vote down at the hall. Let everyone that wants a pay cut explain why in front of everybody else.
