Yellow | YRC to Apply for Bailout Funds

i was wondering when Dollar Bill was going to show some ballz and ask for some of that bailout money. i have a feeling he may get some of what he is asking for due to the fact that he can prove to the powers that be that he has taken steps to cut costs and tried to save YRC from going to the scrap heap. he can also show that he didn't try to take the easy way out by not filing for bankruptcy and leave someone else on the hook for all the money YRC Corp. owes. i suspect he will enlist Jr. on his behalf to chat with Congress and the Obama administration being that Jr. supported him during the campaign.

My guess is Zollars has waited as long as he can; after all, he knows the fate of Chairmen of the Boards now asking for relief. The Board wouldn't ask him to resign. Obama might. I might actually have to agree with The Annointed One for once..... :beerchug: :highfive:

God is testing me to see if I am worthy of His Love .

Zollars - Hoffa - Obama - All bad . Will one save the other to yet forsake the other ???????? And who will play which role in this sadistic ritual ????
Ultimately we all pay . Either as workers , union members or as taxpayers , but rest assured , we will pay .Which role shall we play ?????
What will cost us the least now for big $$$ later ? The government is broke too. When will that marker be collected ??Our children ?? Their children's children ?? Which generation of Americans will finally have had enough ??:

Bail Out Mania

Why do people act surprised that YRC is applying for bail out money? It is a unionized company. Unionism is Socialism. Every socialist in the world is applying to the U.S. for a bail out. This is not rocket science.

Socialism Sux!!!

By applying to the U.S. Treasury for money under the Troubled Asset Relief Program, Mr. Zollars said he hopes to "get the conversation started" with federal authorities about reducing the company's pension obligations. He said YRC will submit an application to the Treasury Department as early as Friday.

Experts say the company's odds of actually getting TARP money appear to be slim. A Treasury spokesman didn't return a call seeking comment.

"We're making really good progress on our financial-recovery plan and we think this is an extra burden we shouldn't have to be carrying," Zollars said, adding that applying for the TARP funds is a "way to get the dialogue started about the pension issue."

You Don't Have to Read the Whole Thing

Mein Kempf (yeah, I spelled it wrong) is a thick book, but all you need to read is the first 50 pages to learn why union labor has wrecked YRC, GM, Chrysler, and most all of the others. You got what you paid for with those union dues.

tell him to fly coach instead of the Corp jet!!!

Actually, jealous people telling corp. heads to do just that is why some Union workers are laid off at the Gulfstream plane factory, and the whatever the name of the luxury jets plant in Witchita. Punish the Rich, more working people lose their jobs. Remember the Luxury Tax of the 90s? I, along with others, got laid off. YRC hauled for Spirit Airlines. Do we still?
