As far as I know at the moment...I haven't heard much on the school lately...but this site may be of some help.

You're welcome Flying Dutchman...just wish I could of been more of a help. I hope everything works out for you and you can get on with ABF because it is a great company. The best of luck to you!!!!!
It is reasonable that the school would be out of service for a period of time given the state of the economy and business levels. It would be senseless for ABF to train drivers and obligate them to servitude when they can't be sure they will be able to work the workers after they are trained. Right now there are drivers on lay-off and working reduced weeks with no real relief in sight. A year might even be a little on the optimistic side. Good luck on your endeavor.
The school was shut down several years ago. The company was & still is in a survival mode. As I remember the company required everybody to attend that was going to drive off of company property. One of the younger men in the shop went there because he would be taking road trips. He already had a CDL with endorsements but he was there for about two days. He was scheduled for a full week but they realized he had experience & let him go home after two days. I understand there is a long list of applicants with experience waiting to be hired.
I guess this info also the same for city driver school?
I know our San Bernadino terminal just had a school a few months ago. But I don't think it was for road(linehaul).
ABF only runs the schools when they need to. We're not a CDL mill.
