If this is the case...I am not the least bit surprised...

I predicted this would happen when the economy (or some other condition) would change the landscape of the business.

Things have changed dramatically since Nov 08...tonnage is up.

By definition that means those terminals that absorbed the freight from closing terminals are now having to deal with increased stem times...additional considerations to be addressed to mantain customer service levels...and the dreaded 'be on time to the FAC' directive.

    And it isn't working...

They thinned capacity and the ability to move freight to barebone levels...in response to a temporary situation in the financial environment of the moment...without thought of what to do when things improved.

    My slant on the matter?...

    Choke on it!

These people were in a fever to close facilities...terminate dedicated employees...upset the lifestyles of hundreds...all in the name of a feigned need to survive. The reality of the re-engineering was aimed at reducing facilities in an attempt to operate as some regional carriers.

Problem is...we don't operate like those carriers do.

My hope is those responsible for all this are shown the front door.

They are too stupid to have a job let alone be in charge of anything.

Like everyone else in the world didn't see this coming. Nice one Rat.

These decisions are being made by people who have no idea what they are doing.

They have no concept of the machinations required to move freight.

    They just count numbers...

    Quite sad actually....

Yep, it is all how it looks on paper and not how it works in the real world.

Instead of Integrity at Conway the New Core value is going to be Loyalty, Oh I forgot we dont use core values anymore so I guess we cant use loyalty, it doesnt matter how loyal you are to this company, the higher, higher ups know what they want and will do what they have to do to get it, what a joke this company is turning into the MASTER OF PUPPETS is what it should be called...
