I see it that way too... damages aren't near what they were before the safe stack in the pups. They could virtually eliminate all the damage and have an excellent reputaion if they cut the subservice by 50% of what it is now. The business would grow more. All the regional sub-service needs to go away. That would save a lot in damages.

I have to disagree with you about the damages...we get 3-4 sub service vans a night (while 2-3 of our linehaul drivers sit home) and lately the way these things are being loaded are not to be believed. if they arent jam packed to use every inch crushing all around it, they are sending 16 bills floor loaded that could have fit in a pup. Saving empty miles my arse.

I'm quite anxious to see how the 5 yr plan to becoming a world class organization turns out. We should fire the bottom half of every linehaul board, make the senior drivers dockworkers, have werner/crst pull the sets and when fedex fixes all the kinks with the rails, put the rest of the freight on trains.
