    Con-way chief Stotlar:
One thing Stotlar is good at if nothing else is BS.

I don't know what employees he was talking to but it wasn't me...and during that time frame I was at three different terminals...thanks to the 2008 screwing he authorized.

He said he had Town Hall meetings...sometimes five a day...and spent more time listening than talking...what a crock!!!

If BS was gold this SOB would own it all!!!

Doug S. couldn't tell the truth if it was written in Crayon...such self induced delusion is amazing.

The only reason 'they are back' is capacity....many carriers have downsized thus reducing their ability to adequately and competitively service their customers.

What a spin doctor...no wonder he has been able to schmooz the BOD for all these years.

    Stotlar's problem is humility...he doesn't have any.

BS...no matter what the spin is still BS!!! and it stinks.

    "The truth is out there"...

    I read it.
Some people seem to just have to complain about every statement made by the boss.
To say that capacity is the only reason we are making a profit is delusional.
Our hard work and the willingness of the company to invest and improve are more responsible for our success than any other carrier's "downsizing".
If you look past personal vitriol, you will see that things really are looking up.
I wasn't sure I'd make it to retirement here. Now I am.
Sorry for the optimism. I know how that irks some guys.

Your 'plans' are only as good as the next 'prez'....

Even that is regulated by Dougie.

To believe the company's success is based on anything other than industry trends is delusional.

Have another glass of the Stotlar elixir then come back here in two years and let me know how well it tasted.

There will be no retirement...John L. & Dougie Doofus seen to that. Remember the shafting of 2008 & 2009!!!!

"We have to be our own bank"...

What a crock!!!!...now all is to be forgotten???...it is supposed to be better?

Tell that to the those who were promised a real retirement and then those promises were relinquished under the threat of "If you don't like it here...go elsewhere."

Nice company...it is a shame the CEO and those at AA are A-holes...looking out for nothing more than the next bonus check.

"Banged them again...think they bought it???"

    (Raucous laughter!!!)

This brings me back to something that struck me from the Q1 video that Greg Lemkuhl put out... if you have to actually make the statement "our employees are on board with our strategy" tells me something is wrong. Sounds to me like a ploy to make the dissenters feel they are in the minority, no matter if it is true or not, so they will keep their voices silent. They are good at asking us for more and more daily, but that should be a two-way street.

nothing at conway is a 2 way street, its there way or the highway. i like this part "When he did talk, he says he emphasized respect for employees and four core values—safety, integrity, commitment and excellence. As he said, “If you want to get fired from Con-way, violate one of these.” if it were true he'd been fired along time ago with most of management. that article must have been taken rite from " Saturday nite live"

Heck yeah..let the execs. Make big money, as long as doug keeps the company strong with his PR rants. And we wont have to ever worry about having a job to go to. That's why conway needs to stay free of the union.. don't want to ruin a good company with all that bickering back and forth..just drive the trucks.. and make good money.

What letter is in front of your SIC code? I make about $200 a day, and that's on the high end. Can't make any more than that, then they'd have to worry about paying me OT at the end of the week.
